FYI, this YouTube video is a song called Addicted to you by Avicci.
"This is insane!" How right she was. When we arrived, the house was lit up with colorful lights and music blasted from inside the house. Thank God this house was in a secluded area otherwise the cops would've been here by now. Most people were standing outside talking to each other with red, plastic cups in their hands. Inside, I could also see people dancing to the music.
"Do you see Shaun or Eve anywhere?" Kat yelled over the noise. I looked around and saw many familiar faces but none of them belonged to Shaun or Evelyn.
"No!" I yelled back.
"Should we split up?" Kat asked.
"Not in your dreams. Come on," I said and started to the house with Kat behind me. The minute I entered, I was uncomfortable. There were so many people there, that even for a mansion it was hot. There's no way all these people were from my school. Some of them looked to old to be in high school. Shit! There were college kids here too.
"Hey, isn't that Isaac?" Kat asked and I immediately looked to where she was pointing. He was standing there talking to a group of guys who were laughing. Nope, no way. I need to leave right now. I would just tell Kat that I wasn't feeling well and that Eve can drive her home. I turned around and I saw her a mile ahead of me with a drink in her hand. Just fantastic! I start walking in her direction when a girl about my age stepped in front of me.
"You look like a responsible person, can you do me a favor?" She said rapidly.
"Uh, depends on what it is," I replied hesitantly.
"Can you just stop those guys from breaking that vase behind you. I have to go break up two girl fighting about wearing the same shirt." Before I could answer she took off running in t he other direction. Must be the girl who owns the house. I turned around to where Isaac was standing earlier. Thank goodness he was gone but now the same guys that he was talking to, were taking turns balancing a small ceramic vase on their heads. I quickly ran over there just in time to catch the vase falling to the ground. I looked back up and they were all staring at me. I felt obligated to say something.
"Can you guys stop being idiots? Don't touch other people's stuff!" I tried scolding them.
"Cool down. We were just having a little fun," one guy with blonde hair answered.
"Why don't you join us?" Another one of them said as he grabbed my hand. I immediately yanked my hand free of his grasp and said,"I'd rather not hang out with perverted drunks, thank you very much."
"Come one, just for a little bit!" The same guy pleaded. He attempted to grab my arm again but this time but someone's hand smacked it away.
"How about you fellas just leave the lady alone," Isaac said firmly.
"Yeah whatever, buzz kill." They all walked away probably to get some more drinks.
"What a gentleman but I was handling by myself."
"I could see that," he started with a laugh. "You know, a simple thank you would suffice." Damn it! I was being mean again.
"Okay, thanks." Then I continued my mission to find Kat.
"Hey!" Eve called. Eve! Always my savior. Following her was Shaun and Katrina.
"Good job baby sitting Kat. We found her sitting by the pool screaming 'Daddy! King Triton! I want to be a mermaid again!' She was going to jump in when Shaun caught her," Eve said.
"She's already drunk?" I asked tiredly.
"She's always been a light drinker," Shaun sighed.
"Hi," Isaac said to Eve from beside me. I had completely forgotten about him until that moment.
