I realize these are a lot of songs but whatever. This song is called Natural Disaster by Pentatonix. Also sorry if it doesn't play.
"Beth?" Katrina called for my attention.
"Yeah?"
"You've got to be-"
"One of the stupidest people on planet earth." Shaun finished for her. I rolled my eyes as the four of us walked to our first period classes. I knew I would regret telling them what happened yesterday. I turned to Evelyn who was being unusually quiet.
"Can you believe it Eve, now their even finishing each other's sentences. That's a little too much sap for me."
"Yeah, same," she said quietly.
"Bethany Rose Abbott! Don't you dare try changing the subject! I can't believe you said no!" Kat lectured me.
"Isn't this your class?" I asked her. Thank God Ms. Gonzales doesn't have a tolerance for tardiness if not, then at this moment, Kat definitely would've taken advantage of it.
"Yes, but I'm not letting this go just yet. See ya at lunch!"
"We continued to walk and my attention focused on Evelyn.
"What's wrong Evie?" I asked.
"Nothing," she started. I stared at her hoping to make her uncomfortable enough to tell me what she's thinking.
"It's just that... well... I'll tell you later." She finished and quickly walked into a classroom.
I turned to Shaun for answers but he just shrugged his shoulders.
We split paths as he went to P.E and I entered English. I didn't see Isaac in his usual front row seat. I figured he was absent and continued to the back row. My mind blanked when I saw him sitting in my seat. Well, it wasn't actually my seat but I always sat there so technically it was. I was unsure wether to address him on the subject or just find another seat. But if i did, it was either take his seat in the front or begin a 'people who want to kill me' list.
I gathered up all my courage and walked towards him.
"Isaac, you're in my seat."
He looked up from his textbook and smiled at me. After that look, I felt like melting on the spot. How pathetic was I, right?
"Really? I had no idea," he pretended not to know.
"Well, now you do, so can you please move."
"Sorry, no can do. I'm already comfortable. Besides its not like we have assigned seats in this class." He informed me. Then he smugly put his feet on top of the desk in front of him and his hands behind his head.
"Well, not officially. But we pretty much do."
"Just find another seat what's the big deal?" He asked innocently. Is this because I said no to him? What the hell is wrong with him.
I looked around and by this time everybody had taken their seat and the only one that was empty was the one that used to be Isaac's.
"Im not sitting in the front. Just go back to your old seat. " I tried again. I was getting really pissed off.
"Fine," he said. Yes! He turned to his right and asked,"hey Em?"
The girl who's name I think was Emily, quickly looked up.
"Do you mind exchanging seats with my friend? I would really appreciate it." He smiled innocently at her. No! She blushed, nodded and then quickly grabbed her books and then sat in the empty seat up front. Oh. My. God.
