Hey guys! Hope you like the next chapter! The dong above is Good time by Owl city feat. Carly Rae Jepsen.
"Is your brother here?" I asked Holly as I entered with two cups of coffee in my hands.
"He went out to get us lunch. Beth, I don't know what you said to him when you guys talked... but thank you. He told my why he hasn't been visiting me and that he's done with that. He's been here almost everyday and he even promised to get my mom to visit," She told me happily.
"Holly, I didn't tell him to-"
"Please. Don't even try it. I'm not stupid."
"Well-"
"Shut up!" She exclaimed with a wide grin. I put my hands up in mock surrender.
"So I thought you would've been home by now. Why hasn't the hospital discharged you yet?"
"They said that my constant laughing from you has made my ribs worse." All the blood in my face left.
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry! I swear I didn't-"
"I'm kidding, Beth! You're so easy!" She teased me. I gasped, filled with relief. I collapsed into the chair.
"You scared the crap out of me!" She laughed, more than satisfied with my reaction.
"Seriously though, Why hasn't the hospital released you?"
"Apparently my mom doesn't have the time to see me, but she has the time to ask the doctor's to keep me in this hell hole because I'm 'not mentally stable'" She answered with a shrug.
"Oh, I'm so sorry."
"Whatever, " She replied with a roll of her eyes. There was a couple minutes of silence and I took the opportunity to ask the big question that was on my mind.
"Why did you lie to me?"
"What?" She asked, taken aback by my question.
"You lied about your last name? Why? Did you still think I was some kind of stalker or something?"
"You're not mad are you?" She asked nervously.
"No, of course not. Just... curious."
"Well, I don't know. I just-" Before she could finish, Isaac walked in.
"Hello ladies!"
"Hello, food!" Holly said, ignoring him. Her hands outstretched, eagerly waiting for the bag of fast food. Isaac rolled his eyes with a smile and handed her the bag.
"Nice to see you too." She happily searched the bag and pulled out a burger. While she was distracted, Isaac motioned outside. I mentally sighed, and we both walked out.
"What is it?"
"I found him." It took me a minute to realize what he was talking about. My eyes widened with worry.
"No. No way!"
"The bastard had the nerve to come back to San Francisco. Can you just stay with her while I-"
"Isaac!" He instantly looked to me.
"We just had this conversation. Holly needs you."
"Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have told you." He began to walk away but I stepped in front of him.
"Isaac, this isn't right. I won't let you."
