It was second period but there was no teacher in the class when a girl in our class who had blonde curly braids on approached my seat.

"Hi!" She said to me, smiling brightly when she saw me.

"Hey,"
I responded, looking up from my novel and looking up at her with a smile of her own.

"I'm Destiny. It looks like you're new to the class.
I'm the class captain and the best in the class,"
She said, subtly boasting.
"And you are?"

"Edwin James-Ohaneze."
I said lightly.

"Alright Edwin. I wanted to know if you're ready for the welcome tests that are about to commence. If you're not ready, you can certainly do it some other time with the subject teachers."
She told me.

I waved her off.
"It's fine. I'm ready for the test."

She stood straight, pushing her blonde braids to her back.

I noticed then, just how slim she was. She was just as slim as I and Bri.

The three of us are so slim, that you would think we were on a diet.

Most people usually see me and asked if I wanted to be a model, or if I had plans to be a Victoria secret model seeing as my dad had a lot of connections.

They're just to blind to see that I have an eating disorder.
I can't even eat as much as I should, and most times, it makes me feel so insecure.

Back to Destiny.

Yes and so Destiny, looked slightly threatened as she rested on one leg on her body.

"Are you sure?"
She asked.
"I mean, other new students in the class, like Emeka Johnson, Tomison and Chidinma are not even ready,"
She said.

"Trust me destiny, all I do is read,"
I stated firmly.

Destiny gave me a sugar coated smile.
"Okay. Good luck then,"

I shook my head as she walked away from my sight.

"I don't think she likes much competition,"
Rodney stated.

"I'm not competition. I just want to have my test today."
I said simply.

He nodded and brought out his literature note book.
"Let's read together, shall we?"

I nodded, moving closer to him.
"What's like, your favorite character in wuthering heights?"
I asked.

"Favorite?" Rodney snorted.
"I hate the book."

"Ah ah." I responded chuckling briefly.
"Why so violent?"

He laughed at my response and shook his head.

"The book is filled with stupid people and has an overall disgusting and confused story line.
Abeg. I can argue that one at the court."
He said, waving me off.

I laughed, shaking my head.

Then, a girl in short black and blue braids, that stopped just above her neck.
