I love celebrating wins, whether big ones and small ones. My friend said I need head breaking for my inner pessimist, 😂😂.
Anyways, it's just three days and I have 14 reads, plus, a tag of 44 in celebrate black authors.
Praise the lord, am I right?
Thank you fam, share my book with your Wattpad friends and family, yeah?
😊, Tenks.
Also, y'all should hit my DMs, let's talk! And please share your books in my DMS and NOT my message boards, I WILL NOT read them.
If you want to share your books with me, at least try using a proper conversation skill, let's talk first, know the books I like to read, and ask politely if I can read your book, simple!
Is it wrong for me to want to have common ground before wanting to read your book?
Chelsea come on naw.
Abeg, 🙏, my author's note is getting too long, please dive into the main reason you came here.
MUAH 💋

It turns out that Rigel crest high really took studies seriously.
Unlike Agatha High that cared about nothing but fame and who your father is.
It was prep night and I discovered that they actually shared the students, irrespective of their departments in classes were paired up in twos.
I was paired with Rodney, yay, lucky me!
Felix and Nneka were paired up together along side Brielle and Adeyemi.
I chose a seat at the back and decided to read my Government note.
I know government and all, and I get As, but I don't know it like I should and I think I can improve in that aspect.
I should, GSCE is fast approaching and I had to read.
Plus, it's my coping mechanism.
I opened my textbook and looked at the index till I found Political Culture, I smiled to myself as I began to open it.
"Are you ignoring me?"
My head snapped up to the voice.
Rodney.
"No, I'm not,"
I said simply."Then why aren't you talking?"
"Because.. it's...prep? You know, for reading?"
I said to him."We are supposed to study together. That's the entire point of having a reading partner,"
He stated matter of factly."Right. Well, I'm about to read my Government note, political culture, to be precise, join me or whatever,"
I turned back to my book.
Rodney reached for my hand and warmed it with his.
I snapped up at him.
"I'm sorry, Amy, I was not thinking well,"
He said to me."How'd you know my name?"
I asked."It's been on almost all your notes,"
I took my hand away from his.
"It's fine. I'm not mad."
I stated simply."You sure?"
I nodded and he smiled in relief.
Such a pretty, pretty smile.
"Okay. Let's read now, shall we?"

🎶 Calmly,
Feel myself evolving
Appalling
So much I'm not divulging
Been stalling
I think I hear applauding
They're calling,
Mixtapes aren't my thing
But it's been offly
Exhausting
Hanging on to songs
this long bulgy
Which caused me to have to make a call I thought was bulzy
As always the one true pony's
here, so quit your sulking!"Wait, you listen to NF?"
Adeyemi asked and turned to me.I smiled and nodded at him in return.
"Finally! A girl who isn't obsessed with Wizkid or Burna boy!"
Adeyemi said to, raising his hand for emphasis.I laughed.
"What can I say? I have always been a different breed,"The bell for prep over rang and I began to pack my books in my bag.
"We should hang out sometime, you know, since you're part of the NF family,"
Adeyemi said.I chuckled at him.
"That's only an excuse to spend time with me, but sure." I said to him and he chuckled."Okay, sure."
Nneka came up to me, linking our arms together as we began walking to the hostel.
**
I was desperately trying to sleep on the bed beside Nneka's, when I heard sobbing, and it was coming from bri.
Esosa got up quietly and went over to Bri.
"Bri, stop crying."
She whispered."I can't believe it, Esosa, I can't!"
She muttered."Bri, please stop crying,"
She sounded teary now but Brielle only sobbed harder."I-I can't believe daddy would do that! Make another woman pregnant?"
She whimpered.Esosa sighed.
"It's going to be fine,"Brielle shook her head.
"Mm-m. It's not. That isn't even the worst,"
She yelled again, her breaths becoming shaky."I miss her, Esosa. I miss her!"
I fell asleep that night with her sobbing filling my ears and monsters haunting my dreams.
