This is a happy author's note.
My best friend, my crush 💔😂, and my older brothers passed their WAEC in flying colors.

I'm so happy! 🥳💯.

But there's that pressure that I'm the next on the line and I don't have much time anymore.

As my classmates/ partners in crime will always say it times like these,
Pressure ti wa.

Continuous Assessment Tests for first term was over and so, Thursday was a free day. Bri and her siblings had already gone home, the previous day, alongside Esosa who's older siblings came to get her.

So it was just I, Oba and Nneka that was left in the room.

We got up that morning, and roamed around school.

Nneka kept spending her remaining cash on useless things in the tuck shop, just because her dad would get her new stuff and more cash anyways.

Adeyemi and Felix went home together, it was just left Rodney, Dozie and Remi that was left.

"Let's buy this one!"
Nneka said like a five year old.

Oba groaned. "Let's not. Really. It's useless! You don't even like candy."

"It's your money, do what you want." I told her and she nodded happily.

She went ahead to buy the candy and I and Oba sat on one of the chairs while waiting for her.

She then handed me a small paper.

From, R . O.

Every single word I say just gets you burned up,
And there's no remedy for the pain.

I'm sorry – Ogranya and Johnny Drille.

"What's this?" I asked Oba.

She smiled a little.

"What does it look like?"
She asked.

"A foolish attempt to win me back. Song lyrics, really?"
I sassed.

"Edwin!" Oba exclaimed. "You told me you love music," she stated.

Just then, Remi came over to our table.
"Heyyo pretty!"

I and Oba exchanged a glance.

"He's talking to you ba?"
I asked Oba.

"No, now, it's you," she responded.

"It's both of you. Ah ah, fine girls!" Remi replied.

We chuckled, shaking our heads.
