Esther's pov

It was a normal office day for me until an abnormal thing happened

It was a normal office day for me until an abnormal thing happened. I got an email. The special part is that it was from my sperm donor. I read the mail. It is an invitation. His daughter is getting married. He wants my blessings for her. Blessings??

I can't concentrate on my work. The email shook me to the core. I thought about them after years. My father and my two brothers They were mine until her arrival. Then they became hers. Hers only.

It was already lunchtime. My colleagues called me to join them, but my stomach is full from the message. My body was glued to the chair. I had forgotten about them and moved on. Then they called me back with the horrible memories.

"Esther, you are still looking at this," Mia asked, coming from the restaurant. What else should I look at? After all these years, this was what he wanted to tell me.

"I expected an apology from him. Is it too much to ask?" I looked at Mia. She hugged me.

His priority was still his second wife and her daughter. Where am I? How am I? Is my life going well, or is someone harassing me? He didn't ask any of these. You just invited me to the function.

"No. Of course not," she answered. I hummed. But it is too much for them.

"Don't worry. You have a lot of people here," she patted my shoulder.

"Yeah." It was a relief. The new life here is more comfortable.

"Are you going home?" she asked, holding my face.

"Home. It was a jail. I am not going," I was determined. They sent me from there. Now they are calling me back. It is not easy to go back there.

"Of course you should go," she said. But I am not sure. I hate to see her. She was my nightmare. She was the reason for all my miseries. When she was sleeping in such a big mansion, I had to be awake all night for my safety. The childhood that should be filled with love was filled with my own cries.

"I don't want to see them treating her with affection and giving me a disdainful look," I said. It was the memory of my lovely brothers.

"No, Es, now you are not that simple eleven-year-old girl." Mia was always supportive. She knows my past. The past that I am deliberately trying to forget.

"I hate her," I said, agitated. Some people looked at me, so I quickly apologized to them. Mia laughed and looked at the others. She walked over to my computer and read the email.

"So Sara isn't marrying Tommy?" she asked. "What? No way," I replied.
"What are you saying?" I asked.
"Of course she is marrying him. She stole him from me. My Tommy. My first love." Mia pointed to the letter and said, "Look, she's marrying Aaron Hilster." I hadn't read the letter completely; I was stuck on the first few lines.

"Aaron Hilster is a top businessman. He has businesses in almost all countries," Mia said confidently. She always knew about handsome, rich bachelors.

"Why did she leave Tommy?" I asked, more to myself than to Mia. She told me she fell for him.

"No idea. But look, this guy is perfect," she said as she Googled Aaron's picture and showed it to me.

"Yeah, he looks breathtaking. But how did this happen? Where did Tommy go?" I don't understand.

"Now I've got an idea," she said, sitting close to me. "What?" I asked, confused.

"You are a headache for them, so give them some more," she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Seduce this Aaron Hilster, just like how she took your childhood crush," Mia showed an evil smile. Crush? Tommy was my boyfriend.

"Are you out of your mind?" I exclaimed. I wasn't ready to meet them again.

"Come on. Let her have a taste of her own medicine. She took everything from you; now take what she loves most from her," she told me slowly and clearly, waiting for me to absorb each word.

"So you're telling me to go?" I asked.

"What do you think she called you for? Is it because she misses her sister?" Mia was angry.

"No," I answered honestly. Sara never missed me. She always behaved horribly toward me.

"She wants to show off that she gets whatever she wants. So we have to give her a slap in the face. Something she'll remember forever," she said.

I thought about her idea. Would it work?

"Don't you want to take revenge on her?" Mia asked, annoyed by my silence.

"Yes, but seducing Aaron Hilster is not easy," I said. I want to teach a lesson to Sara, but seeing them again is not something I want.

"Girl, if you sit here and let karma reach her, it will take time, and, more importantly, Aaron will fall for the young Esther," she said. Aaron is six years older than her, which means he is eleven years older than me.

"Okay, then I am going." I am determined now.

"That's good," she said, giving me a thumbs up. After all, they called me. Now let them see the new me.

"I am going for my revenge," I said very calmly. I had never thought about revenge because I hate to even think about it.

"Hmmm. Don't fall into their trap," Mia warned me. It was a trap that caused all of this.

"Not again," I assured her.
"Aren't you applying for leave?" That question was not necessary.
"Already sent." I sent a letter for my long leave.

Home.

"So you are going?" he asked for the tenth time in a row.
"Yes, Wil," I answered for the eleventh time. He was helping with my bags.

"It looks like you are not coming back." I threw another dress in the bag.
"Of course, I will come back. You are not going to live in peace," I said, sitting on a bag.

"So, you sure are going?,"  Wil asked again.

"Ask me one more." I warned him with a bat in my hand.

"Just be careful. I am worried about you," he said. He is worried about me going to my own family. He knows well how they treated me.

"I will, Wil," I said as he went to the door.

"Call me every day," he ordered without facing me.

At the airport.

I hugged Wil, not wanting to leave him.

"If you don't leave me, then the flight will leave," he said.

"You are in a hurry to send me off," I said as tears started to form in my eyes.

"I need some peace, girl," he said, but I am sure he will miss me.

"Miss me," I said with a low voice.

"Bye!" I waved at him as I walked to my new destination.

My 'family', I am coming.
