Aaron Hilster

Esther's POV

These past two days have been utterly boring in my life. My father keeps trying to make small talk with me, but my answers always shut him up.

Today is Sara's pre-engagement function. It is being held at a grand hotel, so we have been here since morning. The function will be held in the evening.

The staff is busy making everything look good. There are many mouth-watering foods and the arrangements look luxurious. But for a pre-engagement party, followed by an engagement party and then a wedding, they have to spend these billions somewhere.

Sara has been getting ready since morning. She has three makeup artists working on her.

She called me from the room.
"Esther, come inside," Sara waved at me. Lucy was sitting in one corner of the room.
"What?" I asked her.
"Look at this dress. How is it? The gown is handmade," she showed me her party dress.
"Nice," I answered. Honestly, the dress is good. Her selection is not bad.
"Thank you. Aaron needs everything to be special," she said. Then I wonder how he chose her.

"Aren't you getting ready?" Sara asked me.
"Yeah," I answered as I started to leave the room.
"Do you want a stylist?" she shouted.
"No, you need it," I walked into my room. The room I took for relaxing.

It was getting evening.

The guests started to arrive

The guests started to arrive. They are all waiting for the hero and heroine of the party. I was sitting at a table with the Fortis family, aka my family. Well, I don't know anyone else here.

Sara and Mr. Hilster walked down the stairs, holding hands. I saw Mr. Hilster. He is a really handsome, dashing man. He looks so young. They smiled and waved at the guests.

My father went to wish Aaron. I tagged along with him.

"Congratulations, Aaron," Richard gave him a manly hug.
"Thank you, Mr. Fortis," he said with respect. Then his eyes fell on me.
"This girl?" he pointed at me. Yes, he doesn't know me. I waited for them to reply. My brothers were searching for an answer.

"She is my daughter, Esther," Richard answered in a very low voice, as if I was a mistake. My brothers looked at the other sides. They still were not ready to introduce me as their sister. It hurts a little.

They went to meet others.

So let's begin the show.

I dropped water at the place where Sara is standing. I was waiting for her to slip and fall on the heavy cake.

She was moving slowly. But instead of her, a guy who has a tray full of juices fell. My aim changed but the result was not bad. The juices fell all over the hero and heroine's dress. She was going to fall because of the impact, but Mr. Hilster caught her on time. In the process, his hand hit the marble corner.

'Wow. It must have hurt,' I thought. Her handmade gown and his Armani suits are now destroyed. The scene was entertaining. Not only for me but also for the guests.

As her sister, I played my part. I ran to them.
"Get changed," I told to Sara. She was worried about her appearance. So Sara vanished into the room. Mr. Hilster also went to change.

I walked to his room.

I knocked at the door. Aaron responded with a hard yes. I slowly put my head inside.

"Your new suit," I said, waving his suit on a hanger.
"Oh! Come in," he called. I got inside. Now it is my time to seduce this guy.

"Hi," I shyly said.
"You are Sara's sister, right?" he was thinking of my name. No worries, darling. I will make you remember my name.
"Esther, you can call me Es," I said.

"Everyone calls you Es?" he asked, facing the mirror.
"Not everyone. Some special people," I said seductively. I saw him struggling to unbutton his shirt. His hand must be hurting.

"Let me help you," I didn't wait for his reply. My hands were on his buttons. It slowly touched his chest. I purposely made it slow.
"Special. Isn't this the first time you've seen me?" he asked curiously.

"No. I have seen you many times on TV. The dashing business tycoon," I said, but my fingers were brushing his chest. I took the new suit and started buttoning it.

"You know, you are too slow," he whispered in my ear. The warm breath puffed on my cheek.
"What should I do? I am mesmerized by you," I said with innocent eyes.

We heard a knock, and I went to open the door. It was drinks. I took the tray and placed it on the table while he was fixing his hair.

"What would you like to drink?" I asked him with a naughty smile. He turned to look at me, showing a panty-dropping smile, and made a ramp walk towards me.

"What can you offer?" he asked in a hoarse voice.

"Anything you want," I said in my sweetest voice.

"Then," he encircled his hand around my waist and took a glass of apple juice.

"Thank you," he said with a smirk as he walked downstairs.

He might have seen tons of girls throwing themselves at him, but what should I do? I need to take you from her.

I was going downstairs, but there was shouting coming from one of the rooms. I opened the door. It was Sara barging in on the guy who had fallen down. He looked like he was ready to cry at any moment. The guests downstairs had never seen this side of Sara. To them, she was a well-spoken, understanding woman.

"Sara," I called out to her to stop.

"Stay out of this!" she shouted. Her true colors were showing now.

"Sara, the guests are waiting for you," I said, trying to save the guy. That made her snap out of it.

"Teach him a lesson," she said as she walked towards them.

"I didn't mean to," he started.

"It's okay. Just don't show up in front of her," I said. His face showed relief.

I walked downstairs. Sara was not letting go of Aaron's hand. She was glued to him. So you love him so much, Sara, just like how much I loved Tommy.

I will make you understand how it feels to lose your loved ones.
