OTHER SIDE ON THE DINNER

Aaron's POV during dinner

I was going to dinner at Esther's house. I have never spent time with them before, but now it has changed. I was looking forward to seeing Esther. That is the reason for the dinner.

I walked into the house. All were there and gave me a warm welcome. My eyes searched for that one person. But she was not here. Isn't she home? I thought.

"Where is Esther? ", I asked her dad. He looked at the people and noticed her missing.

"Elijah, call Esther ", he ordered. I saw Elijah go to her room. After a long time, she came downstairs. Her face was not bright. In fact, she is mad. Does she hate to see me? I felt a pain in my heart.

Sara was attached to my arm, but my eyes were locked on Esther. She was not looking at me. Purposefully avoiding me.

Then Sara announced a surprise.

I looked at the door. The same guy at the engagement is there. What the hell does he want? Esther went to his side. Did he invite him?

It was then dinner time. I saw Esther sitting opposite me. I watched her. She was careless about her allergies. I have noticed before that she always forgets about allergies. So I took the dish in front of her, which has peanuts.

After dinner, Sara pulled me into a talk. I was not listening. My eyes were still on Esther. She is beautiful in this simple dress and without makeup.

Sara took me to the balcony and offered me a drink. Well, I wanted to say something to her. So I took the glass.

"Sara, I want to tell you something ", I started.
"Oh, I am dying to hear a word from you, Aaron," she said. Well, I don't know how she takes this.

"Sara, there is no marriage ", I said in one breath.
"What? ", she asked. Of course, she heard it but wanted to confirm.
"We two are not getting married ", I said. I had cancelled the engagement before. But then I held it just because of my anger. Now I can't take this anymore. I can't consider someone as my wife.

Before, husband and wife were just two words for me. I didn't give much importance to it, but now I know that I can't simply give my wife's title to a stranger. There is a person my heart chose for it.

"No", she said.

"Yes", I don't give a fuck about what Sara wants.
"Is it because of Esther? ", she asked. Yes, the connection I feel with Esther is different.

"Aaron, look, her boy friend is there." Sara pointed at the boy there. I saw Esther talking to him. How can she be sure that he loves her? I saw her fidgeting with her fingers and biting her lower lips. She does it when she is nervous or mad.

"Aaron, she loves him too much ", Sara said. I hate to hear it.
"How do you know? ", I asked Sara very coldly.

"If she doesn't love him too much, then why did she try to kill her sister when he proposed to her?", Sara asked me.

"What? ", I shouted.
"Aaron, she tried to kill me for him. That is when dad sent her abroad ", she explained. I know Sara was not innocent, but I never expected her to badmouth Esther. Esther never said anything bad about Sara to cause a problem between us.

"Sara, do you take me as a fool? Don't spit lies at me," I warned  her.I know Esther. She can never kill someone.

"Believe me, Aaron. You can ask this to anyone here", she said nonstop.
"I don't want to ask this to anyone here. I know her." I gave a death glare to Sara.

I was going to Esther's side, but the boy hugged her. He was hugging my girl. I swallowed the alcohol in front of me. Take your fucking hands off of her. I was going to kick him before she pulled away from him. But the anger that built in me was too large.

Esther was going to her room. I followed her. How can she let someone touch her? I haven't even glanced at other women after meeting Esther. There is some acting with Sara. But that was to show her.

I yelled at her. I don't remember what I said when Jelous overtook me. She pushed me to the side. It took five or six minutes for me to recover.

When I came down, I saw everyone have a weird expression. What is happening here? I looked at Esther. She was angry. Then she shouted at Richard.

She was roaring at others. I heard what she said.

So they all believed Sara and sent Esther. She was crying in front of me. I went to her side, but she stopped me. My heart was squeezing for her. Each tear from her eyes is killing me.

She explained her life. The abuser. What did he do to my Esther? Her fear and the tattoos I have seen the scars, but she was not ready to open up her heart.

When she opened her heart, I couldn't adjust. This young girl has faced a lot. The loneliness in her eyes was true. She wanted her family to love her, but they didn't.

She stopped talking. I saw the real Esther. She acted like a badass girl, but inside she was a simple girl who wanted love. I looked at the others here.

Whether they believe Sara or Esther, I know what Esther said is true. I believe her, but what she said next completely broke me. She wished a happy wedding to me and Sara and walked out.

The others have vivid expressions. I was late to hear all this. How can Sara be cruel to her? I wanted her to feel the pain I felt, but the reason she did was too much.

I will teach a lesson to Sara and her mom about what she did to my Esther.
