Akina's POV

"Hi." Goro says to me as he takes his seat beside me. "Hi." I greet back before taking a sip of my warm and addictive beverage. Goro asks, "So what's so concerning, Akina?" I put the mug down and look at him as I try to keep my voice calm as I provide an answer, "I have noticed that we are always watched. And those who are watching us are also being watched themselves. I think something very big is going on. Something dark." I see Goro's eyes begin to dart around and raise his guard as he whispers, "Are they watching us now?" I shake my head and whisper, "For some reason they aren't." I then nudge him and whisper, "Calm down and drink. We're in a café." And with that he releases a huff before taking a sip of his hot drink.

"I also have to tell you that I had an encounter with your grandfather." This makes him choke on his drink, making me pat him on the back to help him clear his airway. "M-My grandfather?" He splutters out, causing me to nod and ask, "What do you know of your grandfather?" Goro sighs before answering, "From what I could gather from my mother's diaries and what my father was willing to share, my grandfather is a Demon Lord. And that he does know of my existence, but I don't remember ever seeing him in person." I watch as he stares into his cup before I heave a sigh and say, "He gave me an offer." This makes him look at me and asks, "And what was it?" I take a big gulp of my coffee before answering, "He offered that we partner up to defeat Chiharu." As I said this he was drinking his drink, but instead of chocking on it he ended up spitting it out onto the glass in front of us.

I stare in shock at the now stained window, before slowly turning behind me to see an annoyed barista standing behind us, who grumbles, "There better be a good explanation for you staining the window with a wasted coffee!" Goro starts to tremble and shake as well as begin stutter out absolute gibberish, leading to me deciding to lie to the barista, "My friend just found out his sister had unprotected sex and is now pregnant. So please forgive him for being careless in expressing his shock." The barista shows an understanding look on their face as they shake their head and look at Goro as they say calmly, "I know how you feel pal. I have a sis who was in the same boat a while back. Just take a breather and have a calm and safe conversation with her. Let her talk first before gently lecturing her and then offer what support you can ok?" I see that Goro's face has reached a new definition of blushing and has defiantly lost all speech functions. If I wasn't lying out of my ass, I would be on the floor laughing but instead I look to the barista and say, "Thanks for the advice. I think he's still in shock though." This makes the barista smile and say, "That's to be expected. Have you finished your drink miss?" I nod. "Then take him for a walk to clear his head, so when it all sinks in he can rationally act on my advice and not go screaming at his sister." With that I nod again before beginning to drag Goro out of the café.

"WHAT IN THE THREE REALMS WAS THAT AKINA!?!" Goro yells after finally recovering from shock, disturbing the peaceful street we are walking down. I finally release my laughter that I had held in this entire time, until Goro smacks me over the head. "Ow! Goro!" I cry out as I rub the area of my head that's hurting. "Why would you tell such a lie so embarrassing?!" Goro shouts at me, making me grumble back, "I had to give an excuse that would make your actions be deemed socially understandable and easily excused. You were just lucky that the guy not only bought the lie but had been in that situation." Goro huffs and looks away from me as he grumbles back, "Don't do that ever again." This makes me sigh and say, "Fine I won't. You can lie your own way out of things next time." Goro says, "Thanks." We continue to walk in silence before he stops, making me stop and ask, "What?" He looks at me with a concerned look and asks, "What was your answer to my grandfather's offer?" I walk up to him and hold direct eye contact with him as I answer in a firm voice, "I said yes."
