Akina's POV
I sit in the my room in front of my desk with the laptop loading, whilst I am staring into a photobook that I had pulled out from under my bed. The page I am currently on has photos of myself and Emi together and I can't deny how much I wish she was here. Mum is now respectfully giving me some space as she is aware that not only do I wish to focus on online school, but last night I had a dream that made me emotional this morning. I dreamt of Emi getting in a car with a cloaked figure and being driven off towards a dock where a boat was, and in this dream Emi was crying and trembling. What does this dream mean? I can't help but wonder as I stare at the thought of me and Emi in our dojo uniforms smiling. My thoughts come to a pause as my laptop pings, notifying me that it has finished loading and I am able to do my online education.

After finishing all the online work I have been assigned, I turn off the laptop and heave out a sigh. I get up from my desk chair and make my way over to my wardrobe and pull out my red martial arts top with my blue martial arts trousers before placing them on my bed and stare at them as I acknowledge that this is the last martial art uniform Emi had made for me in preparation for when I would leave the hospital, but instead it was delivered to my mother on the day of the fire that removed the dojo from this world. "Will it fit?" I ask myself a loud, after all Emi may have visited whilst I was unconscious, but I don't believe during this she would be able to get me measured and acknowledge that my width would change when I was indeed awake and consuming more solids.
But I am forced to stop being on that train of thought as I hear my mother call out through the door, "Akina, you should hurry up in there! You're friend will be here any minute!" I turn to face the door for some reason as I call back, "I'm just getting dressed, Mum!" And with that I undress from my casual clothes and pick up the shirt and begin putting it on, before then sitting down so that I can put on my trousers. After putting the two items of clothing that I was unsure of on, I realise that they fit me perfectly? How?
But I don't continue to wonder the strangeness in this as I hear a knock at the front door, causing me to rush around my room for the necessities I need to grab and shove into my bag, whilst hearing my mum open the door and greet the one who knocked. "Hey, Shuichi. Akina's just getting ready, would you like to come in?" I hear my mum greet Kurama as I open my bedroom door and make my way towards the front section of our apartment and watch as he gives my mother a polite smile and was about to reply, until I cut in, "That won't be necessary mum." With my announcement she moves away from the door in order for me to make way out of the door and look to Kurama and say, "Let's go." He gives a gentle nod, before we begin walking off making mum call to us, "Be safe!" Leading to me calling back, "We will!" But that wasn't enough as my mother calls out, "Remember to watch your surroundings!" To which I call back, "We know mum!" But my mother had something else to call out which greatly began to wear my patience thin, "Don't talk to strangers you two!" I heave out a sigh as we are only a few steps to the stairs, I turn back briefly to shout, "Mum, we're not kids anymore!"
