Chapter Twenty Eight

I arrive at my apartment to encounter Goro, who is looking at me with great concern, making me ask, "What's wrong Goro?" He then pulls me into the dark alleyway between my apartment building and another before he pulls out a jar holding a strange insect. "This is a Makai insect. I have found lots of them roaming the city and taking possession of humans, making them into zombies." Goro informs me with a glum look on his face. "But I thought Spirit World put up a barrier to prevent them slipping into Human World." I say with confusion in my voice, making Goro nod and say, "Chiharu had received a copy of a request made to her brother, Prince Koenma from the City of Ghosts and Apparitions, from the Four Saint Beasts." I nod and ask, "What was their request? Something good no doubt." Goro answers, "Immediate immigration into the Living World." I sigh and respond, "Let me guess, Koenma denied the request due to how dangerous they are." Goro nods and says, "In response they sent out a spy, who helped made a good enough gap in the barrier to allow the Four Saint Beasts to send these insects to cause havoc. Now you probably don't know who the Four Saint Beasts are, so I'll tell you what I know. Apparently they are four of the most notorious criminals in Spirit Worlds eyes. These four legendary creatures were notable for being forced into living inside the large Maze Castle in order to loosen their power outside of the city. However, the beasts possessed complete dominion over the inhabitants of the city, using them freely as messengers to the Spirit World and for maintenance work. They also have a special whistle that influences the insects and they will give it to Spirit World but only if Spirit World removes the barrier that imprisons them in their location."

"Something tells me that Spirit World will send my brother to deal with this as he is their Spirit Detective." I say after I absorb the information and Goro nods in response, making me sigh and say, "Well I can't let him risk his life on his own. Goro will you come with me to Maze Castle and save the realms from the Four Saint beasts." Goro smiles and responds, "I didn't give you all that information for nothing." He then pulls out a special chalk that glows and says to himself, "Thankfully I stole this from Chiharu's library before coming here." He then draws a large rectangle on the wall, which then turns into a portal doorway. "Are you ready?" I nod at his question and say, "Let's kick some ass." And with that we both entered the portal.

Normal POV

Outside of the City of Ghosts and Apparitions Yusuke and Kuwabara crash land into the ground. "Oh damn!" Yusuke grunts out as he gets up and observes his surroundings and once seeing the castle he says, "Well, looks like we're in the right place." Kuwabara also stands up when he also sees the castle. But suddenly their gaze had to snap away from the castle as small demons come out of the ground and surround them as they giggle out, "What a treat." Kuwabara and Yusuke stood back to back. "What are these things?" Kuwabara asks Yusuke over his shoulder, who replies, "I'm not quite sure, but they're not friendly." The little demons then launch at the pair and try to land a bite on them, making the two males panic by trying to pull them off of them and start throwing some punches, however the demons kept coming. "Urameshi! There's too many of them!" Kuwabara calls out to Yusuke over the demons surrounding him and Yusuke. "I'm not sure, but I think they wanna eat me!" After shouting that the demons managed to make Kuwabara fall over and climb on top of him trying to eat him, making him release a cry in fear. Yusuke's eyes widen at seeing this and he calls out, "I'm coming!" He tries to make his way over but fails as a few small demons get in his way and try to jump on him to claim him as their meal. "This is gonna be lame if we die before we reach the stupid castle!" Yusuke complains as some of the demons manage to latch onto him and he fails to get them off of him.
