Kurama's Spring Flower

Chapter Twenty Two

It was now a sunny day out and Kurama had decided to steal Akina away from everyone as Yusuke had decided to hide away from his twin due to her reaction to finding out everything about Yusuke's now secret life. The two were sitting together on a park bench, watching the life around them in peace as they make casual conversation to make up for lost time. "So what name should I use to call you by? Shuichi or Kurama?" Akina asks him casually as she catches a small sakura petal that had been blowing in the breeze and keeps her emerald eyes on the small dainty petal, not noticing how Kurama was watching her with his own emerald eyes holding a strong hidden emotion aimed towards her. He hums in thought before responding, "Please call me by Kurama when we are not around my mother or those unaware of demons." Akina gives a nod as she releases the petal from her grasp and heaves out a small sigh and mumbles, "Will you be allowed to spend time with me?" Kurama's eyes now hold pain as he shakes his head and whispers, "Sadly not. Being separated from you is part of my sentence as they could see how attached I have become." Akina finally looks at him with saddened eyes and takes a hold of his hand to give it a gentle squeeze and says, "I advise you remain on your best behaviour so that we won't be separated for too long." Kurama gives her a nod, before checking the time on his phone and seeing that it was time for him to part from her, he begins to stand up from the bench and looks at her with a pained smile. "Goodbye for now, Akina." Akina nods back and releases his hand as she replies, "See you later, Kurama."

Chiharu had watched their exchange from afar and was pleased to know that Akina was even accepting the damned demons as well as the weak kind ones. When seeing Kurama leave, Chiharu then approaches the bench and sits down beside the now tense girl. "Do not fear me child, for I am a friend. If I were an enemy I would have harmed you whilst you were in hospital or I wouldn't have helped you learn of the danger your brother was in, so please relax your body for your muscles do not need to be in any pain." Akina does relax but doesn't allow her guard to fall, for she did not know this woman nor know why she seems to be wherever Akina is. "Why are you hear this time?" Akina asks desiring to know the woman's intentions for this strange visit. Chiharu had turned to look at the view before the bench as she answers, "You have great potential my dear. As did your friend before she perished, bless her soul." This makes Akina's eyes widen and whisper in disbelief, "You knew Emi?!" Chiharu gave a small nod before continuing to speak, "She had come to me after beginning to teach you, seeking advice on how to help you control your energy for it was too much for one body to contain, and clearly it was abnormal as you could do things other psychics cannot do in their first try. You could heal anything, but sadly because your energy is not under control, it instead transfers the injuries or illnesses over to yourself, hence why you had Shiori's illness whilst she seemed to be cured. You are more powerful than you can imagine Akina. The question is will you be able to control it, or let it control you?"

Such overwhelming information to pass on. What should Akina do, after all she has no idea who this woman is. But her twin was involved in this crazy world and twins come in pairs. This made Akina set her mind on her choice and was ready to also dive in it, even if it kills her. 'I need to be there for Yusuke.' Akina thinks with determination before saying, "Help me control my powers." Chiharu smiles and says, "I will."
