Akina was back outside by the ocean after being freaked out by the strange test that had just occurred. Goro approaches her from behind and sighs before speaking, "I'm so sorry for what happened in there." Akina looks at him and asks, "What on earth was that? She looked too happy with what was going on in there." Goro sits beside her and says, "That test wasn't to see if you are worthy of her teachings, but is actually a test to see if you have her daughter's powers, making you her daughter." Akina stares at him in shock and shakes her head and says, "No, I'm Akina Urameshi daughter of Atsuko Urameshi. There is no way that I am apparently some stalker's daughter!" Goro sighs and responds, "That's the thing...Atsuko is your birth mother, but Mistress believes that before her father's men could terminate her unborn child she had performed a spell that would make the baby be born in a surrogate parent. Your energy matches her unborn child's, causing her to believe that you are her child, especially as your eyes are green and not brown like the rest of your family." Akina raises her eyebrow and responds, "You don't know the generics of my family, for all you know I could have an ancestor that had green eyes."
Goro sighs and says, "There is a way to find out if you are Mistresses child." Akina looks at him and asks, "Really?" Goro nods and says, "Yes, but we can only do it when she isn't around as it requires us to go to Spirit World and she is on the run from them." Akina sighs and responds, "How long until then?" Goro shrugs and replies, "I don't know." Akina sighs again before Chiharu exits the temple and approaches them and speaks, "I see you two are getting along." Both of them turn to her and nod, making her smile and say, "That's good as I am having Goro help you revisit the basics, whilst I plan what extra things to teach you." Goro stands and responds, "Will you be monitoring us Mistress?" Chiharu nods before saying, "I'm off to prepare us something to eat."
She then returns to the temple to prepare the food, whilst Akina asks Goro, "Is there a phone around here or a place with signal so that I can check in with my family and friends." Goro points towards the station and says, "You will get a signal if you stand very close to the railings." Akina nods, before she makes her way over and begins to call her mother. "Hello?" Atsuko says over the phone with a bit of a muffle, making Akina chuckle and ask, "Are you smoking again?" Atsuko then releases a sigh before responding, "Even when you are away, you still keep tabs on me." Akina laughs and says, "I'm making up for lost time as I know that Yusuke won't do it." Atsuko was quiet for a moment, causing Akina to worry and ask, "Mother?" Atsuko manages to recover and responds, "I'm still here baby. How's your trip?" Akina thinks for a moment before responding, "It's a bit hectic over here, but then again it's my first day." Atsuko chuckles before saying, "You can always come back home if you're not comfortable over there." Akina smiles, knowing her mother is worried about her and clearly wants her daughter to be with her. "I'll keep that in mind. Love you." Akina says before hanging up and sighing as she thinks about her mother and how much she has been there for her mother, and doesn't like the idea of Atsuko possibly not being her mother in any sense. She places her head in her hands and whispers, "Please God. Let Atsuko be my mother."
