Samantha had trouble falling asleep for no apparent reason. She sensed an intrusion as if someone or something was trying to keep her awake through the voices in her head. Despite taking her medication and not experiencing any stress all day, she struggled to drift off. Unlike her previous experiences, it wasn't her father's voice she was hearing. Rather an array of unfamiliar voices persistently calling out her name, making it difficult for her to rest. difficult for her to sleep.

As Samantha slowly opened her eyes, she was met with a cacophony of voices that seemed to be coming from all directions. She struggled to catch her breath and take in her surroundings, but her disorientation made it difficult to make sense of her environment. It was clear, however, that she was no longer in the comfort of her own room. Instead, she found herself surrounded by thick smoke and mist, with rain pouring down around her in torrents. As she tried to get her bearings, her attention was suddenly drawn to a menacing cardboard mask of a red devil that loomed ominously before her.

As she observed the Red Devil Mask, she couldn't help but notice its open mouth, which seemed like a gateway to an unknown realm. Despite her curiosity, she hesitated, wondering if it was wise to traverse through it. What if it led to a perilous path? What if there was no destination ahead? Nevertheless, she resolved to take the risk and venture forth.

Samantha took a step forward and saw that the fog had dissipated, revealing an eerie, ancient church. Two people were standing in front of it, almost as if they were expecting someone, maybe even Samantha.

As her gaze swept towards the grand church, her eyes fell upon two figures standing outside. One of them was a woman with luscious blonde tresses that cascaded down her shoulders, and her dark eyeshadow gave her a fierce and resolute aura. The other was a man with raven-black hair that seemed to almost obscure his face, dressed in almost the same gear the woman was wearing that hinted at his readiness for something significant.

"We need your help," the woman asked Samantha. She hesitated for a moment, her face displaying a mix of confusion and curiosity. Eventually, Samantha mustered the courage and walked straight toward them, eager to find answers to her questions.

"Why do you need my help? And who exactly are you?" Sam asked, her worried expression still evident on her face. She couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as she wondered why she found herself in this unfamiliar situation.

"We need your help to save a town," the man replied, causing Samantha to straighten up and her eyes widened with intrigue.

"How can I save this town? And why specifically do you need my help?" Sam inquired, crossing her arms as her confused expression turned into curiosity and skepticism.

"We just need your help, Sam." The woman pleaded.

Samantha asked with suspicion, "How do you know my name?" She didn't trust the two individuals before her.

"Samantha, you must save this town, and to do so, you must... kill your friends and possibly even your family," the woman stated ignoring Samantha's recent question, causing Samantha's expression to drop and her eyes to widen in shock at the woman's request.

"FUCK, NO! I'm not killing my friends or my family even if my own life depends on it" Samantha yells

"Well, your life does depend on it. If you don't comply, you have a chance of dying," the man and woman said simultaneously, their words hanging in the air. Samantha stood frozen, unable to find the right words to respond to the shocking answer that had just left their mouth.

"What is this some fucked up negotiation for me to help you guys!?" Samantha says finally getting some words to leave her mouth.

As the two individuals continued to look at her with emotionless faces, it felt as if their gaze was piercing into her soul. Samantha, already lacking trust in them from the beginning, now found herself forced into a position where she had no choice but to rely on these two for the sake of her own life. It was an unsettling predicament, leaving her with a sense of unease and vulnerability.

Samantha's heart skipped a beat as she noticed the woman pulling out a small blade from behind her back and holding it in front of her.

"Samantha, we're trying to help you and the others in the town. It's a matter of either you die or the others will, and it's not my choice," the woman stated, maintaining her unwavering gaze on Samantha.

Samantha, aware that both choices were grim, decided to take a risk and attempt to save herself and her friends instead of accepting their fate. With a mixture of determination and desperation, she reached out and took the blade from the woman's hand, her mind already swirling with thoughts of bloodshed. Acting on her instincts, Samantha stabbed herself in the side, causing her to groan in pain. The severity of the wound reminded her of a previous deliberate stabbing incident, intensifying the agony she felt.

"This contract binds you to Everlock. Save the town, and you will return to the living. Fail, and be lost among the dead forever," the woman declared solemnly, emphasizing the high stakes involved. With her own blood, Samantha signed the contract, acknowledging the weight of her responsibility.

"It's now or never."
