The cheetah coalition was at war with the pride lands because of Scar. But recently Simba has taken over and ended the war. But before scars demise, he ordered the assassination of the king of the cheetahs Maraku the father of Haraka.
The assassination was a success but the killer was caught tortured and killed.
The two young kings agreed to peace and an annual meeting to assure peace.
10 years later both kings had children simbas being kion and Kiara. While Haraka's only had fuli.
Kion met a cheetah on the border of their territories when he was a young cub. This cheetah came into his life in a major way later on.
