A/U POV
Sarah was still young as she received her dream job and position at the international children home in Seoul. At the age of 24 she got promoted to be the chef after working there for five years. Sarah looked down at the papers in front of her, mouth hanging open and with wide eyes. The salary increase was double of what she made by now, but that would mean she had to make a lot of hard decisions
The children's home were driven by donations worldwide and there were space for around fifteen children between the ages of 0-13, the job at the children home is to take care of the kids who had to come because of bad conditions until they found a family for themself.
While sitting at the office reading the papers asking her to take over the chef chapter a small knock on the door interrupted her. "Come on in" She said but no one was opening the door, so she stood up to do so and on the other side was little four years old Amelia standing looking at her with tears in her eyes "Miss Sarah" She said under her quivering lip. "I could really use some comfort right now" She continued as a small tear fell from her eye. Sarah picked her up in her arms and went into the office again sitting down. "My sweet Amelia" "What's going on?" Sarah asked as she removed a strand of hair from her face. "I just started thinking." "Why will no family take me?" Amelia sniffes. "Amelia, your family will come sooner or later, I just know. And they will be so lucky" Sarah answered the little girl hugging her tight. "I wish you could be my mother Miss Sarah '' Amelia said, grabbing both Sarah's cheeks, squeezing lightly. Sarah smiles fondly at the sweet comment but it also runs cold down her spine by the thought of being a mother as a quick flashback of a toilet filled with blood passes her eyeballs. She shakes it off, spinning the chair a little for Amelia to see what she was doing. "See this paper sweetheart?" Sarah asks as Amelia nods violently. "I got asked if I want to be the one making choices here. And decide most of the things here" Sarah tried to explain. "What do you think?" "Should I say yes?" She looked at Amelia as a smile spread. "Of course Miss Sarah!" She said, clapping her small hands. "Will you make sure I have a family soon then?" She continued as she found Sarah's eyes. "I will do anything that stands in my power to find you a family Amelia" She said kissing the crown of the girl's head.
The weekend was entering and on her way home Sarah took a turn to the left, going to the store to buy a little something to celebrate her new position. She picked up a red wine and some dried chicken for her dog Bluebell and left to go home. Sarah has been living in a one room apartment since she started her job, it has never been a salary that could pay more, but as she sat back on her couch tonight she didn't mind at all. "You know what bell" "Give it a year and you have your own backyard to run in" Sarah said pouring some wine into a glass. Bluebell was a small poodle, and her favorite food in the entire world has always been dried chicken. "Here you go baby bell" "To our future" Sarah said handing the dog a small piece of chicken.
