I woke up that morning eager to get out the house..same as everyday it seems. It was a Thursday morning and the weather didn't settle down. It seemed to have gotten worse..what do you expect from Florida, though? It'll trick you into thinking the next day is gonna be a beautiful sunny day, when in reality, mother nature had been planning on fucking up your day with some more heavy rain and thunder. What can I say? It seems as if the weather has been matching my mood lately.
I took a quick shower considering I smelled like the beach. I scrubbed through my hair, my body, more places that need cleaning and hopped out. Figured today was a sloppy day, so I wouldn't mind throwing my ashy blonde hair in a neat top bun. Also decided to just let it air dry so I won't have to go through a hassle with my hair and such. I threw on some quick eyeliner on the top and bottom of my waterlines and some mascara and blush and left the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body.
I made my way over to my dresser and pulled out a plaid blouse and some black jeans to match my black rain boots..I swear it's like Florida has a dress code. 'Don't forget your poncho and rain boots' oh shut up. I gathered my school books and put them into my bag that I used dad's credit card to order from this cool shop from New York and left my room. I didn't bother to stop for breakfast. Mom didn't know how to cook anyways.
"Have a good day swe-" Cut her off by closing the front door. Dad wasn't home that often. When he was out, he was usually having sex with his receptionists. He had many mistresses but mom is too stupid to see that. Blinded by 'love'. My foot. Love isn't coming home to your wife and then leaving to screw different women. That's disgusting.
School was also pretty boring considering my best friend went back to Australia for a funeral for his great grandma or something. Nothing too important, but I did miss him a lot and time managing was a pretty big problem considering it's been three weeks since I've seen him. He should be coming back in May for graduation, if not, then that's still fine. He deserves some time to himself.
I got to the outskirts of the school and made my way into the block it was on. "Hey Lily, heard you went back to Mill ridge beach by yourself last night. Heard you got screwed." See, welcome to Mill Ridge high school. Where rumors are passed around in a minute and everyone who is gullible enough to believe them..believes them. "You heard wrong. But heard you got a bun in the oven. Is that right, Diane?" I smirked walking past her..leaving her quiet. Guess that rumor is true. No surprise though. At everyone high school party someone has, you would see her making out with someone new. Must be why they call her 'Dick Diane.'
I walked up to the school building and the first thing I saw was the school calendar being bombarded by a bunch of eager juniors. Being a senior was easy enough. I'll be fine going to community college. As long as I get my doctors degree to become a pediatric nurse, I'll be packing my bags and off to the big apple to work there. Guess you can say I do have a plan..a pretty neat one, I might add. It's April fourteenth and our last day is on May thirtieth. I can hold onto school for a month..surely.
