I went to the beach in nothing but my pajamas. I had to sneak out of my house slightly though because my mom was in the living room sleeping, although I don't think she would really mind considering she knows that this is a regular thing I do. I just locked the front door behind me and made my way down the path and onto the beach. It was a bit chilly, I mean, it was pretty late and it was always cold when the sun wasn't out so. But it was fine. The moon glistened against the sand and the water and it looked really pretty. I saw a familiar person laying down on the sand staring straight into the sky and the stars playing with the sand and the shells on either side of him. "I'm here." I said quietly. He shot up and smiled big. "Come sit with me." Luke said as I made my way over to him and sat with him. "What was the surprise?" I asked cocking my head. He grabbed my hand slightly and opened my fingers. He placed the small delicate seashell in my hand. I should've known though. I smiled and hugged him. "What does this seashell represent?" I giggled.

"You." He said.  I looked confused. "What about me?" "Just, you." He smiled.

I couldn't help but look down and chuckle. We sat there for a few moments just in the company of each other. "I can't wait for school to end." I said laying back on the sand. "Neither can I. I can't wait to finally be my own person." He said laying back down next to me. "You are, though." I said. "I'm really not. I don't even feel like myself here. I haven't had a girlfriend in a year, parents don't really want me around, I feel like I'm ugly and not worth anything. There's just so much that I can't wait to get away from." He sighed. "One, you don't really need a girlfriend. Two, parents suck. And three, you are not anywhere near being ugly and worthless. Luke you are so handsome and worth everything. I don't know who screwed it into you're head that you're those things, but I swear you need to keep them out and listen to me." I said grasping both of his hands. "Do you mean it." He said looking down at our hands. "I mean it." I said.

I don't really remember anything after that. I remember throwing water at him and then we made it to the shore and we crashed out on the sand. I remember he layed down first and I collapsed in his arms. It had all been one big blur..I don't even remember falling asleep.

-

We woke up on the sand by a flock of seagulls flying over us squawking extremely loud. I reached over on the sand and clicked the home button on the screen and saw it was seven. "How is it already seven.." I muttered. I sat up, wiped my eyes and looked over my shoulder and saw Luke was laying down staring at me with a slight smile appearing on his face. "Why do you look so amused." I asked yawning. "Because I am." He said. "Why's that, dork." I asked.

"Because.  You were in my arms, for a whole seven hours." He smiled.

I smiled a bit too..
