Aftershock

Samantha was speechless about the confrontation.

"And that's my contribution to everything. I know masasabi niyo pong ang kapal ng mukha kong iharap ang sarili matapos ng ginawa ko sa kapatid n'yo. I became a reason of someone's death... If only I told him sooner, If only I didn't let my greed take over me. Kung hindi ko lang hinayaan ang pagmamahal ko sa kapatid mo na manaig at makagawa ng masama siguro masaya sana silang dalawa ngayon. If I only called Kielandro sooner that time baka... buhay pa siya ngayon," mapaklang napangiti si Constance.

Tatlo lang silang nakaka-alam ng nagawa niya before. Her, Kiel and Cloud, but now they're four having Samantha knowing about everything.

''I am still ang currently paying for my sins, alam kong wala na akong mababago pa since nangyari na ang lahat, hindi na 'yon malilimutan pa. The hatred Kiel towards me is ubearable... Pero ano papo bang gagawin ko? Kung hindi lang dahil sa lintik na research report na ito, then masisigurado kong hindi kona siya masasaktan pero wala, eh. May galit yata sa 'kin ang mundo," puno ng hinanakita na saad ni Constance. "I can endure every hatred, harshful truth and more, kahit ano pa, if that's the only way he knows to relieve the pain inside him."

Samantha doesn't know what words to utter. Hindi nga niya alam kung dapat niya ba niyang daluhan si Constance knowing about everything she did in the past.

Pero napaisip din siya. It's all in the past now and it's not for her to judge Constance anymore, her opinion is not needed. She knows and understands Constance part, she knows how dangerous can love possibly be, lalo na kung madedevelop ito into something more.

Obsession? Yeah. It's freaking dangerous.

Napabuntong hininga si Samantha. "It's not for me to judge you, Constance. I'm currently not in your position right now. Alam kong hirap na hirap at ipit na ipit ka na sa sitwasyon mo... between love, pain and hatred. I see how you need to create decisions kahit alam mong may mailalagay sa alanganin, even though you know that you need to sacrifice something. Wala naman tayong magagawa, we make mistakes and that's given since we're not born perfect. We're flawed." She stood up and walked towards Constance. She squatted. "It's been said... If you gain something, you lose something. Ang masasabi ko lang sa 'yo hindi bilang kapatid ni Kielandro pero bilang isang ate na nakaka-unawa sa 'yo..." She held Constance hands. "Your past won't define your future, it won't define you,  of who you are. Kahit nakagawa ka ng mali noon, hindi ibig sabihin na hindi kana pwedeng maging masaya. Hindi ibig sabihin na hindi ka na pwedeng patawarin," touching words coming from someone like Samantha.

Hindi maiwasan ni Constance na mapahagulhol sa mga sinabi nito. She wasn't really expecting it. Eventually, she's preparing herself to recieve harsh words from her, she's ready to take and recieve judgemental comments from her, criticizes, stares with disgust and more. 'Yon ang buo niyang akala, but it didn't happen, it didn't go as what she expected from the very start.

Instead of all she thought earlier, here she was, Samantha, being a good big sister to her.

She's glad, totally glad of it.

"I don't know if I can still do this," Constance blurted feeling her barrier of determination tearing down apart.

Samantha shooked her head. "No. You endured everything clearly, pretty well if I must state. I'm sure Kiel can heal soon, hindi man ngayon pero dadating din ang panahong 'yon. Gagawin ko din ang makakaya ko para matulungan at mas mapadali 'yon.
