I walked back to Kardiff. He eyed me, a smirk tugging at his lips. Cordgi followed close behind. I wanted to laugh at this. I opened the cell door. The dragons watched me shocked. Kardiff led four out. I saw one that held his head down, not meeting my eyes. Reaching a hand out I stopped him. His dark black hair hid his face. The streaks of silver glinted lightly in the sunlight.

"Has he treated you well?" I asked in a soft voice.

He lifted his head up. Icy purple eyes held mine for only a second. He flicked them away. What was it? What isn't he saying to me?

"He changed. After joining the army." His voice was as soft and gentle as it had ever been. He locked his eyes to mine.

"My fate shall be the same as his. I will not break my bond." Ansel insisted. He turned to close the door instead of walking out it. I huffed.

"You were always a dramatic one." I kicked the door back open.

"Come on!" I dragged him out even as he attempted to resist. Attroxia grabbed his other arm while Neffy just shook his head at him.

"Zyn, why are you forcing me?" he asked.

"Just watch. I'm sure it's for something dumb." Attroxia hissed.

"Who are you?" Ansel asked.

"My bodyguard." I smiled down at the tiny dragon.

Reaching the knights cell, I found Gulaion sitting alone at one side. I knelt behind him. My hand reached out. I had never tried to communicate with the knights this way while they were at school. My fingers barley touched his back as I probed around his shields. He lowered one, just a fraction.

"Are you his son?" it was the most important thing he wanted to know.

"Not by choice. My fathers are Shea and Greyson. I will never claim another." I insisted.

He turned his head toward me. "Save him. Not matter the cost, just save him."

"Don't be stupid." I stood up looking down at him. "I'm saving you both." I walked to the door.

More thick chested, strong armed knights blocked my path. They were huge, many bigger than even I was. I smiled. As I unlocked the door. Neffy had handed me the keys. I pulled it open. Four large knights tried to burst through it. They smacked into a wall of ice. I heard at least one nose break.

"Step aside, or I unleash him." I pointed to Attroxia. There was a snort of surprise.

"That tiny little..." one knight began.

"Oh he comes with him attached." I pointed to the healed Bran.

He stood with his miss matched eyes watching the strong looking knight. His arms were folded over his bare chest as his ginger haired blew in the soft breeze. Baram was beside him looking bored. The knights took in the look of the two royals. I wasn't at all surprised when Ammedidon stepped to his brothers side.

"The royals? Like they can fight. What are they, lords?" one knight huffed.

"The same man whose blood gave me life, gave them theirs." I answered.

A few of the knights shifted back. More than one was glaring at Bran. I had a feeling they knew what he was capable of. A laugh sounded. It was soft but grew louder as the silence wore on. I looked down to see a man hunched over on the ground. The pelt he wore hid his head. He clutched his stomach as his body danced with mirth.

He tossed his head back. I saw a wild face. It was clean shaven, youthful in looks. The large pointed nose filled up most of it. His mouth looked to be oddly huge as well. He sobered as quickly as he had began. His deep grey blue eyes slipped past me. He had no use for me. Slow he got to his feet. I saw the bandaged wound on his side. He flipped the lion pelt off of his head. Wild grey hair spiked up around it. He marched to the bars before the twins.
