"We need the air from Ofengar, the Earth from Grimmala, the waters of Devonia and the fires of Vangah." Elfengar muttered as he pulled vials from the inside of the pelted coat he wore. He sat each one down as he spoke from where it came. He sighed.
"The only one I have not been able to get had been..." He sat an empty vial down.
"The misty soul space of the neither." He tapped a finger on it.
I smirked picking it up. "Andromeda?" I called to the soul dragon.
Suddenly the vial in my hand swirled with a misty foaming element. I sat it down beside the others. The five elements glistened in the light of the library. My eyes went from them to the man starring at them. He looked lost in his own mind. I reached a hand out to touch his shoulder. He stirred, blinking as our eyes met.
"Next?" I asked.
"Disrobe." He told me.
I arched my eyebrow at him. "Excuse me?" I asked.
"We have to cleanse your body, mind and soul." He informed me.
"With that?" I pointed to the small amounts of elements we had.
"With your abilities." He was speaking with as few words as possible.
Some part of me assumed it was so he wouldn't get his hopes up, too high. I watched him silently for a moment. A hand pulled on the brace on my arm. I held it out as my father's took off my gear. Attroxia began to undo the buttons on my shirt.
"Seriously, I can do this myself." I muttered.
"No, your attendants and your familiar." Elfengar ran a hand down Attroxia's head.
Why would I need them? I didn't want to ask. I knew nothing of witchcraft. Shea looked me in the eye. I entered his mind with a soft touch.
"Do as he says, don't argue." Shea told me.
"You know you could just talk to me, not make me come to you." I tried to joke.
"You never understood, your the only one I can do this with. I don't know how to enter your mind, unless you are already within mine." He told me.
This shocked me, but not as much as the cold upon my skin. Pearlescent was ready. Warming fires erupted all along the wall. Elfengar was talking to the others, having them search for things within the library we could use. Ash had snorted when he asked for a basin.
The mineral dragon rider extended his hand. Snow touched his back. Together they formed a basin of stone, large enough for me to bathe in. Once my boots were taken from me, Attroxia led me to the basin. It was void of water. Elfengar brought the water of Devonia over. He held it out.
"Where do you hail from, Mohala?" He asked.
"The wry of W.R.E.N. Academy." I told him.
"That is not a land! Tell me!" He demanded.
"The man whose blood gave me life was King of Vangah. The woman who lived long enough to birth me was the beloved Princess of Devonia." I told him.
His hand shook a little. "No, not Marcarise." Elfengar lowered his hand with the vail in it. The other went to cover his eyes.
"You knew her?" Shea and I asked as one.
He held the vail up again. "She is the one who collected the water for me." He informed us.
I smiled. "Good, then tonight, I rejoin her as she helps me to end my quest." I told him.
His head came up. The sadness in his eyes, eased back a little. "Yes, I see it. Her heart shines within you." He smiled softly.
