We last read Chapter 25, in which Firebird—having also left her duties to one of her attendants while she goes to visit Earth—visits Advisor Wallace Weiss in London, England and unsuccessfully attempts to convince him to get the President to call off the nuclear strike against Russia, unaware that this "Wallace Weiss" is actually an undercover Storm Sect spy named W.H.R.R.L. who was sent to Earth by Commander Windsor Galeforce to bend the U.S. President's ear. Nonetheless, Firebird quickly deduces that there's something off about Weiss, and resolves to figure it out. In the meantime, Coldsnap and Keena venture to the derelict rubble pile that used to be Leo's old workshop, in a bid to recover more models of the Aegis Gauntlets so Coldsnap's adoptive family and friends can aid them once again in their fight against the Storm Sect, with Coldsnap learning more about her girlfriend's past along the way. This time, we catch up with Coldsnap and Keena as they enter the ruins and see what they can find.....though the two of them are about to be split apart by rather unforeseen circumstances.....

As Coldsnap and Keena picked through the burned rubble, trying their best to find anything of use, Coldsnap broke the silence.
"Hey, how did you even start that huge flood at Skycrest, anyway?" she asked her lover.
"I'm the leader of the Water Sect, Snowdust," Keena bragged. "The Storm Sect had it coming the moment they attacked our capital and kidnapped me."
Coldsnap laughed. "Oh no, yeah, no, yeah.....you sure showed them. .....But seriously, how'd you do it? I've seen you detonate water vortexes, summon tidal waves, create and form water spouts.....but never a full city-wide flood. You never fail to impress me; it seems like every day you do something new!"
"Thanks!"
"So who taught you to do all that you do?"
"Hydraxus."
"Oh.....yeah. Duh. Probably should've remembered that."
Keena chuckled. "It's fine. Remember when you told me about that time you and the other Paragons stormed that royal palace in that alternate dimension?"
"Malcorchus's palace? What about it?"
"You said you used high-intensity snow grenades to bury the entire throne room under several feet of snow."
Coldsnap blinked for a few moments, then the memories of that confrontation came rushing back to her. "Oh, yeah! Everyone in there almost froze to death.....it was awesome."
"Once again, you inspired me. So....." Keena reached into her outfit and pulled out three of the same high-intensity water grenades that she had used to quickly cause the massive flood that had mercilessly engulfed Skycrest. "I set out to make my own version.....but with water instead."
The icy heroine's eyes widened with fascination. "Whoaaaaa! How do they work?"
"It's pretty straightforward. I just throw a huge clump of these at a large area, and then they detonate, blasting several thousand gallons of water outwards in less than a second and completely flooding the immediate vicinity. .....So, yeah. Better hope our enemies know how to swim."
"You came up with that entirely on your own?!"
"Yeah."
"Jeez. And here I was thinking Leo was the tech genius of our crew."
