-The Ascendant's Sanctuary-
From an alternate, otherworldly pocket of nothing but white puffy clouds, clear blue skies, and an almost heaven-like landscape, The Ascendant, the god and future creator of a group of powerful elementalists known as the Mage Aspects, gazed with great grief and sorrow at the distant planet below, usually known as Earth.
It had been created to be a beautiful place, no doubt. It was meant to be a cradle of diversity and variety; a "melting pot" of several different cultures that, in a perfect world, would be able to live in flawless harmony with each other. Though The Ascendant's whole body was draped in a dark green robe—and his face was completely covered in shadow save for his solid, round, yellow eyes—his misery at the planet's current state was palpable.
He was nearly moved to tears of woe as his mind became filled with thoughts of what could have been. Of how Earth might possibly be preserved—or even improved—if its inhabitants simply learned to love each other. But it was not to be. Instead, they argued and squabbled pettily amongst each other whilst their own habitat was gradually falling apart all around them due to outside factors, such as climate change and global warming.
On his darkest days, he sometimes found himself thinking that Earth's very conception was a mistake. That its resources and luxuries would have been better spent on a more cooperative species than the planet's current "humans". Thankfully, he managed to push these mindsets away at every turn.
Instead, he opted for another solution; one which he was already in the middle of making. A world of his making—a different dimension known as the Elemental Realms—had already come to fruition.
The last thing he needed to do was create those who would inhabit it.
Shutting his solid yellow eyes and concentrating, The Ascendant smoothly weaved his hands and arms around as if he were casting a kind of complex spell; eventually, five orbs colored red, blue, white, brown, and purple materialized within his right palm, hovering gently above it by a few centimeters. All five objects also slowly moved in a circle around a central point.
The Ascendant smiled with satisfaction as he opened his eyes and viewed the current results.
It was time to create the first Mage Aspects.....and the Sect Leaders who would oversee them.

Carefully plucking the red orb from the formation with his left hand, he crushed it and sprinkled its remains on the clouded "floor" of the sanctuary; soon, Morton Flamestar and the first mages of the Fire Sect came to life before The Ascendant's eyes.
At once, Flamestar noted his creator's presence, and he and the rest of the fire mages bowed reverently to him. "Greetings, Ascendant," he said. "I thank you for granting life to myself and these others. How may we begin to serve you?"
"You are the first of many creations of mine, known as the Mage Aspects," The Ascendant explained. "I have granted each faction immense power over one of the planet's most primordial elements, that you will use them to maintain order and balance on the world below, in my name. My blessing to you in particular is rather volatile indeed; I give you the gift of control over fire, flame, and spark. You will be able to bring gentleness, heat, and warmth to anyone who may need it. You shall light others' paths when they are lost in the darkness, and inspire unparalleled determination within your allies. For this is what fire can be when used right; it is not merely a weapon solely for destruction."
