We last read Chapter 27, where Coldsnap stealthily delivers the prototype Aegis Gauntlets to her adoptive family and friends, instructing them to gear up for battle while she goes to Skycrest to rescue Keena following her abduction at Typhoon's hands. Meanwhile, in Commander Windsor Galeforce's office, he and Typhoon begin torturing Keena with a chemical that makes her immune system start to attack her own red blood cells, causing her to experience unrivaled pain and discomfort as the dastardly duo interrogate her for information, particularly on her mentor Hydraxus's death. What they don't know was that Coldsnap had already infiltrated the Storm Sect's capital once more and was already on her way to save Keena, having already taken out every single guard on the ground before entering the spire proper. This time, we continue following Coldsnap as she fights her way up Galeforce's hideout to rescue Keena......but will Keena crack under Galeforce and Typhoon's torture first.....?

While Galeforce casually leaned against one of the office walls and observed, Typhoon began prying the suffering Keena for information regarding Hydraxus's demise.

"Your mentor.....he was quite the Sect Leader, wasn't he?" Typhoon began, starting to slink around the chair again while Keena was still sniffling and whimpering with pain. "'Hydraxus'.....a loyal servant of The Ascendant to the bitter end, as a lot of people would say. It's such a shame he had to just.....up and die like that, though. It can't have been a coincidence.....can it?"

Of course, she and Galeforce already knew that Keena was entirely responsible for the death of her predecessor; they just wanted to break her to the point that she would admit it personally.

"I swear!" Keena cried. "I know nothing, please! I'm just as confused as you both are!"

"Oh.....well, I'm sorry, dear, but I'm afraid the Commander and I can't work with 'nothing'," Typhoon declined. "I need to know what happened to him, and I need to know it now."

"We don't know what happened to him! Two years later, and it's still a mystery!"

"Really? You mean to tell me that you were his top student.....his protégé.....his teacher's pet.....practically his successor.....and you have no idea what happened to him? Surely you would know about his whereabouts and actions the most; at least, out of everyone else in the Water Sect."

Keena vomited again, with her eyes gradually watering and distorting her vision; she couldn't even wipe it away due to her arms and hands having been restrained. The effects of Galeforce's chemical worsened, and she felt as though she might have passed out on the spot.

"Tell me how Hydraxus met his end, and I guarantee that yours will be swift," Typhoon promised.

But Keena still remained defiant, now looking away and refusing to say a word.

Now somewhat upset at the lack of progress, Galeforce joined the fray again. "Okay.....how about this?" he suggested, forcing Keena to look at him and pulling out two more syringes; one of them had the same substance that was used to induce Keena's suffering in the first place, while the other instead had some kind of clear liquid in it.

"I have the antidote right here," the Storm Sect Leader claimed, holding the syringe with the clear liquid in front of Keena's face. "All you have to do is spill, and this can come to an end. Or....." He switched it out with the other syringe. "We can make this a lot worse. Believe me, you haven't even scratched the surface of the surface. But, at the end of the day, it's your choice."
