We last read Chapter 32, where W.H.R.R.L.—once again under the guise of advisor Wallace Weiss—successfully convinces the President to move up the timing of the nuclear strike against Russia's border to the following day, placing Coldsnap and her friends on the clock if they hope to stop Galeforce and the Storm Sect's plan to instigate a third world war on Earth. Additionally, Keena and Coldsnap make up—kind of—and they, together with Firebird and Geode, talk about Firebird's encounter with W.H.R.R.L. and how "Wallace Weiss" was supposedly acting much more rude than usual, making them think that "Weiss" is an impostor. Coldsnap then comes to a decision; while she, Keena, Geode, the rest of the Mage Aspects, and their allies mount a final assault on the capital of Skycrest, Firebird will venture to Earth and try to get the President to call off the nuclear launch; a plan that she reluctantly agrees to. This time, as we build towards the final battle, we catch up with the Storm Sect one last time before their fateful confrontation, and watch as one of its leading members reveals her true colors.....

"Okay.....I think that's the last of the snow," Typhoon told her fellow storm mages as the group finished shoveling every last inch of the stuff off the central island, returning the tower's state to how it was before. "Take five; I'll go check in with the Commander and see if he needs anything else."
"Yes, Typhoon! The storm rages on!" the four storm mages recited in perfect unison before filing out of the tower's ground floor lobby, leaving Typhoon alone.
She boarded the elevator in the back and pressed the button for the highest floor; Galeforce's office. As the car soared skyward, Typhoon shed all of her combat attire once more, dropping her ninja-like wraps and baring her true form again. Her full, skin-tight bodysuit was colored in two shades of gray, with her hands and feet also covered by the smooth and comfortable material. The only part of her body left exposed by the costume was her head, showing her light skin, her piercing azure eyes, and her faded purple hair that fell to about her mid-back.
Shoveling out all the snow in the main lobby—as well as picking apart every last one of Coldsnap's complex ice designs—had taken quite a lot out of Typhoon, and she longed for some fresh air ever since her labor had ended. Galeforce himself could've helped her, of course, but Typhoon paid it no mind; he was obviously in the middle of something else that needed his attention. Though Galeforce was obsessed with getting revenge on The Ascendant, the Sect Leaders, the Mage Aspects, and the rest of humanity, he still always put the Storm Sect relatively at the front of his mind. Her loyalty to him was unwavering, and her servitude unquestionable. If she ended up dying in pursuit of the Storm Sect's goals, then so be it; to die in the service of the Commander whom she had served for all her existence would be an honor amongst honors.
The elevator car soon reached Galeforce's office, with Typhoon stepping out of the retracting doors and confidently striding into the room. Galeforce was busy preparing two bags of popcorn in a microwave that was on one of the outer counters—one bag for him, and one bag for Typhoon—when he caught sight of his right-hand woman completely unadorned once again.
"Hello, Commander," Typhoon greeted with a warm smile. "The popcorn smells positively divine."
"As divine as you look," Galeforce complimented as he took the finished popcorn bags out of the microwave and tossed one to Typhoon. "I brought you on as my right-hand woman for your combat skills, but you always seem to impress me in more ways than one."
"Thank you." Typhoon then opened her popcorn bag and looked inside. "Mmm.....butter.....my favorite! What's the special occasion, Commander?"
"W.H.R.R.L. has just informed me that he successfully convinced the President to move up the date of the nuclear launch against the Russian border!"
