"I have everything prepared. Everything will be distributed to the children when they turn eighteen earliest seventeen and a half in case of emergencies. Some will get their share before others but have no power to dip into each other's share." Katherine stood in her bathroom with the phone pressed to her ear.

"There is no way anyone can interfere, right?" The voice on the other end goes silent, reading some of the paperwork before answering.

"Well, the only one who would Is Milles." Katherine shakes her head.

"No. I want this to be cement, prof. I want everything for the kids." Katherine didn't want her husband to interfere with the process. "Every one of my assets is to go to my kids." Katherine had first-hand knowledge of what would happen if he got his hands on her part of the money.

The sound of typing on a keyboard fills the phone line before someone speaks again. "I understand I will have everything ready, and since you have already written in writing, I won't need you to come here." Katherine sighed in relief at the fact that everything was falling into place for the children's future inheritance.

"Thank you so much, Daniel." She sighed, looking at her reflection in the mirror.

Daniel can hear the tone in her voice. "Of course, Katherine. You and Miles have been my good friends since we were teenagers." Katherine smiles, a single tear falling down her face.

"It feels like it was just yesterday."

"What feels like yesterday was the day Oliver was born." Daniel was the one who took Katherine to the hospital due to Miles being on a plane back. "I still remember when he was the tiny human who was excited when I would visit. now he is a teenager who is annoyed by everything."

When Daniel first got the call, he panicked but then remembered he had to drive, so he needed to calm down. While his hands were shaking, Katherine was surprisingly calm during the birth, considering it was her first. This earned him the name of Uncle Danny.

"I'll talk to you later. My family is waiting for me so we can leave."

"Okay, I will message you when everything is finalized." They bid their goodbyes, ending the phone call and leaving Katherine with silence in her room.

Her mind running at a hundred miles per hour.

"Mommy!" Katherine ran her fingers through her hair, fixing it so it flowed smoothly down her back. The sound of tiny footsteps gets closer and closer until she feels a set of arms wrap around her leg.
