Another day another article about the Wright family.

"It is reported the family home was broken into. The two youngest children were at home during the whole ordeal." I take a long drag of my cigarette watching the women explain the events. A picture appears on the screen. "Violet was spared only having a couple of bruises but her twin brother was not so lucky." Nathan is being rolled out on a stretcher.

My door swings open with an angry person marching through. "I told you no!" She slams the newspaper down on my desk. "What the hell?!"

I suck in the toxic smoke once more. "But I said yes." Leaning forward putting it out on the ashtray.

As I lean back in my seat she puts her hands on the table giving me a glaring look. "We agreed that I would have a say in what was to happen."

"Yes but if I feel there is a need to overthrow whatever you say, I will." She only becomes angrier. "That was the agreement." Her eyes were dead set on me.

"And whether you like it or not I agreed to one thing and one thing only. That was not to hurt any of them." Standing her ground.

That's a new one.

I slowly lift myself from my seat. "I did what I felt was necessary. They still owe me millions." My voice raised. I lean forward displaying a form of dominance to show I won't back down.

"Their father owed your father millions. Not the kids. Not to you." Picking up the newspaper she throws it at me. When it hits me in the face I stand slamming my hands on the desk.

She slightly flinches at the motion but does not give it away. Only her eyes show me that she didn't like my actions. We have a silent moment before I begin to talk.

"I don't care who owed who what. Those little brats got everything. My family got nothing." I yell at her but instead of looking scared she just looks up at me expectedly.

"What, you gonna hit me?" She remarks.

"Do not tempt me." I bring up grabbing her chin. "Know your place." Nudging her face to the side.

She grabs my hand shoving it away from her face. "You know your place. I made this place what it is today." I couldn't say anything because it was true. My father kept a record and when she got here the stats were sky-high.

"If I'm going down then you're going with me." I give her a devilish smile.

"Don't you touch them again. I mean it." She turns walking away.

"And why should I listen to you?" I question, putting my hands in my pant pockets.

She turns her head. "I almost destroyed this place once. I'm not afraid to do it again." She opens the door.
