M thought for a while and spoke up
M: breakup
KH: kya?
M: haan, mai Ranveer se breakup kar lungi
KH: but you liked him right?

Their flow of conversation was broken by HM's call
HM: Mahiii, Khushi, kitni der?
KH (responded): aaye diii
KH: chal abhi... Is baare mei baad mei baat krte hai
M nodded
M: usko raat mei call krke kal Milne ka intezaam krti hu mai
KH nodded at this
And the duo went to KarEena who were waiting outside
On seeing her favourite chocolate milkshake on the table, M's all tension seemed to have vanished in a second
M: choco milkshake (she exclaimed looking at HM with a smile)
HM: haan ab itna bhi khush mat hoiye...
KH: par ye achanak hum sabko kis khushi mei mil rha hai?
KS: vo Hasii ko laga ki uski boyfriend vali dhamki se Mahi thoda sad ho gyi, isliye bana hai, and uski vajah se hum dono ke bhi mazze ho gye (said KS in a teasing tone winking at KH)
Meanwhile here M had put up a smile on her face nevertheless inside her was ongoing a rush of guilt and emotions.
HM did notice uneasiness on M's face but she let it go thinking of the reason KS had given.
Time skips
In M's room:
KH: tu sure hai?
M: yes
KH: fir usko phn kar, and kal school ke break time pe alag jaaa ke baat Krna, okay?
M nodded and followed the instructions.
Time skips
Next day, at their school, in the break time. M and KH had eaten their tiffins. KH was waiting for M to return after talking to Ranveer but there was no sign of M. The bell rang but M was still not there.
Soon a teacher who was passing from there stopped seeing KH
Teacher: what are you doing here? Don't you have class?
KH: yes ma'am, I am waiting for my friend
Teacher: go back to your class, she will come back on her own
KH: but ma'am
Teacher: is she 2?
KH: no ma'am
Teacher: then go, she'll manage on her own
Seeing no other option, KH left from there. Seeing KH leave, the teacher also went. All that was going on in KH's mind was where was M, why was she taking so long. She wasnt even in the class.
Soon KH's chain of thoughts were broken when M entered the class
Teacher: where were you?
M: ma'am washroom?
Teacher: you should get done with your needs in advance in the break time so you don't waste time even after break is over

Teacher nodded and let her in
M went and sat on her place, she turned to look where KH usually sits, she spotted her already looking at M. M just blinked her eyes in assurance and KH understood that it was all well.

After school, while Mannat and Khushi were returning to thana:
KH: toh vo Maan hi gya
M nodded being lost in thoughts
KH: toh achi baat hai na, problem solved

M looked at KH and nodded
KH: kya hua? Kuch bola usne?
M: badi ajeeb baat boli
KH: what?
M: he said ki breakup se pehle I will have to daily meet him for a week, uske baad breakup
KH: kya? But kyu?
M: usko mere sang last moments ache se spend krne hai, and Roz milna hoga merko manage krke, ek week Tak
KH: kya? Pagal hai kya? Roz saath mei tiffin kha lena school mei
M: maine bhi yehi bola tha but usne bola hai bahar milne.. aur ab last wish hai uski, mai mana bhi nhi kr paayi (said M pouting cutely)
KH: tu na pagal hai... Kaha se milegi usse roz? Tu humara naam leke bhi kitna hi nikal legi, terko kya lagta hai, teri Aapi tujhe Roz bahar jaane ko allow kar degi?
M: obviously not, aur yehi toh problem hai na yaar
Aajke liye bas itna hi...
