Part 13- Fuck you.

After the new girl joined Ghost was by her side every minute and she was loving it. I on the other hand wanted to vomit. I spent most of our mission avoiding them and staying close to Soap.

"Ghost!" Lana Becker came fluttering into the tent we all shared.

I wanted to cut my ears off due to her annoying voice. "He's not here."

"Oh. Do you know where he is or when he'll be back?"

"No clue." I did my best to ignore her and focused on cleaning my gun.

"Well okay then."

"Hey Y/N!" Soap entered the tent with Roach in a head lock.

"Y/N help!" Roach squirmed until Soap let him go and Soap plopped right next to me.

"I see Ghost's bitch is bothering you." Soap whispered to me.

I shrugged. "I don't care. She's just annoying."

Soap pulled me into his lap as Ghost walked into the tent. I flushed red and my eyes locked with Ghost's. He quickly looked away.

"Lana." Ghost nodded to her before sitting on his cot, fixing his boots.

"Hey, so I had a question for you. I was wondering once we get back to the states of you would like to continue going out?"

I pretend to not listen and put my gun back together staying in Soap's lap.

"Sure." Ghost responded curtly. I could feel him watching me for a response. I hope he was disappointed with the fact I gave him none.

"Ooo Ghost got a girlfriend now!" Roach teased.

Ghost shrugged and continued to work on his boots. Lana sat next to him and began chattering on and on.

I stood from Soap's lap and walked out into the sun. "Fuck him!" I yelled as Soap followed behind me.

"You can always get him back." Soap put his arm around me. "I'm always down for pissing him off."

I thought about it for a moment. "You know what, let's do it." Fuck him, and fuck that bitch.

If he wants to play dirty, I will too.

"That's my girl." Soap grinned. "Literally."

I laughed a little, only Soap would find enjoyment in this.

"All seriousness though, I do like you." Soap became serious.

"I like you too." It wasn't a lie, I did like Soap but I still loved Simon, maybe given time it would change.
