Part 39- Our future

That night we sat around camp. 

"Who knew you had that in you." Gaz picked at his rations. "I thought we were going to end up letting him live." 

"We couldn't. He knew that Y/N was a mole. He would have given her up as well." Soap shook his head. 

"Right." Price stood from his spot by the fire. "Speaking of that. We know nothing as far as anyone is concerned. I'm going to get some shut-eye." With that Price retreated to his tent, Next was Gaz. He excused himself and went to his tent.

"You okay?" Soap took my hand in his.

I knew I should probably feel something, but I didn't. I didn't feel bad one bit. "I'm okay. He deserved it."

"He did." Ghost agreed with me. "If you hadn't done it I would have." 

"At least Roach can rest in peace now." Soap looked at the fire as we all fell silent.

"Y/N.." Ghost finally spoke after a moment. "I think we need to discuss some things."

I nodded. I need to know what the future holds for us. I wanted to stay by their sides forever but they might not want to stay with me after everything.

"Yeah." Soap played with my hands. "So here's the thing, We don't know if we're all going to make it out alive but we need to know if we do will you marry us?"

I froze for a moment. What did he just ask?

"Well legally you can only marry one of us, but we could do something unofficial between us and friends." Ghost added in. "Of course, you'd legally marry me."

"Hey, I thought we were going to let her decide that." Soap huffed.

I sat there, my mind reeling, I wanted to say yes but this all felt unreal.

"My last name is better, I'm sorry but who the hell wants to be called Mrs. MacTavish." Ghost and him continued back and forth and I couldn't help but smile.

"I haven't even given my answer you two!" I giggled as they began wrestling each other.

"Ah right, so?" They stopped, looking up at me from the ground.

"Yes, you two idiots." I threw my arms around them both, crying happy tears in the dirt.

"Now we definitely need to make it out alive."
