Lloyd held my hand as we walked through the ruined city. It was nice to have the sun out after such a horrifying day yesterday and I tightened my grip on Lloyd's hand when I saw the scratches on the sign of the grocery store I used to go to occasionally. They reminded me of the scratches on my arm I had gotten from falling during the fight, which were now bandaged by thin gauze and covered by my dark purple hoodie. Lloyd then turned to me, "Hey, Liv?"

"What's up?" I asked, examining the town.

"When the Omega talked about you being able to see the future... what did that mean?" Lloyd questioned and I winced. I had been trying to hide this for so long, but I expected it to come out sooner or later.

I put my hood up and turned away, still holding onto Lloyd's hand, "I don't wanna talk about that right now, Lloyd."

"Please?" Lloyd pleaded, taking off my hood, "Does anyone else know about it?"

"I asked Zane about it." I whispered softly, "No one else knows."

"How did the Omega know?" Lloyd asked and I shrugged my shoulders, fidgeting with my hoodie string with my free hand. Lloyd took a look around and then tsked, "We have a lot of work to do if we want to fix the town up."

"Yeah, we do." I whispered, "But it's going to be okay. Ninjago has been fixed literally billions of times. I think one more in the bucket won't hurt anybody."

"Ninjago is a brilliant community." Lloyd put his other hand up to his hair and tousled it, "I'm really proud to be a defender of this city."

"And I'm sure that the city is really proud of you." I squeezed Lloyd's hand.

"Don't forget yourself." Lloyd smiled at me and I laughed. Then, a noise made us both turn around. My eyes widened. Oh... my...

"MOM!" I shrieked as my mother came limping up the street, her gray braid completely loose. She smiled at me and waved.

"I'm so proud of both of you-" Mom was cut off when I leapt at her and hugged her tightly to me, tears streaming down my face.

"Mom, I'm sorry." I leaned back and put my hands on her shoulders, still crying a little bit, "But everything's okay now. You're okay." I hugged her again and Lloyd walked over to both of us, wrapping his arms around us in a group hug. I snuggled my face into my mother's shoulder, "Uncle Wu will be happy to see that you're fine."

"Your father, too." Mom nudged me and then frowned when she saw my face crumble and Lloyd's eyes dim. She put her hands on our cheeks, one on Lloyd's, one on mine. "My babies. What's wrong, children?"

"Dad-" Lloyd's voice cracked before he spoke again, "Dad left, Mom. When we were at the Golden Mountains, destroying the crystal pieces, he left without saying anything. He left us this note, though." I handed it to Mom and she read it, her eyes tearing up. She lifted her silver glasses and wiped away a tear at the corner of her eye.

"We're sorry, Mom." Lloyd said, putting his arm around my shoulders. I leaned into his shoulder, feeling my heart sting as I watched my mother's crestfallen face.

Mom inhaled deeply and then she looked at both of us with a bittersweet smile, "At least I know he will be alright."

"Let's go back home, shall we?" I asked, holding out my other hand to Mom, "The monastery needs a little polish-up and we could use all the hands we can get."

"Let us go then." Mom smiled, "And I really hope that your father will come back soon. But in the meantime, I will enjoy my days with you two."

As we walked up to the monastery and gave Mom into Uncle Wu's capable hands, Lloyd pulled me aside, "Seriously though." He said and I felt my heart sink a little bit when I realized he was trying to talk about how the Omega mentioned I could see the future.
