It was so, so, so good to be home. To finally be with my family.

And to be honest, my family was whole. I had my mother, my father, my brother, my friends, and my potential boyfriend. Of course, Morro and I had agreed to work things out between us once this whole Harumi crisis was over, and honestly, I was glad that we waited. Jumping into a relationship right away, especially with my brother's enemy (or maybe frenemy now) wasn't the best idea when I just got my brother back.

"Liv." I turned around to find Nya behind me, a soft smile on her face. "What are you doing out here?"

I looked around me. I was sitting on the monastery steps, watching the sun rise again. The last time I had seen that sunrise, I was home. Home with everyone that I loved. I answered Nya, "I'm honestly here just for the view."

"How long have you been locked up for?" Nya asked me, and then said, "That is, if you don't mind me asking."

"It's okay." I assured her, "It's been 10 days since I last saw the sun."

"Oh, Liv." Nya's face softened with a mixture of horro and sympathy. "I'm sorry. That sounds so awful..."

"It... wasn't the best situation, but I had Fang to keep me from being driven crazy." I said, "He was the best roommate I could ask for."

"I bet." Nya smiled, but then her face turned a shade darker, "Also, what's the deal about bringing Morro with you? Don't you know about the history between him and your brother?"

I bit back a wince. Yes, I knew, but... Morro and I...

All I said was, "People can't help who they feel connected to."

Nya's eyes met mine. She blinked once, twice, and then her jaw dropped. "No. Freaking. Way. You're not being serious right now."

"But I am." I raised an eyebrow, "We just agreed to be friends for now, but our feelings haven't changed. At least, mine haven't."

"How did you manage to-?" Nya shook her head, "You know what, never mind. I don't really want to know."

"Don't judge me. You have a relationship with Jay." I retorted, half jokingly, and Nya sighed, brushing one hand through her hair.

"Well, to each their own, I guess." Nya rubbed her neck, "I like dorky boys with blue eyes and cute brown curls, and you like ominous villains with green eyes and a permanent killer expression."

"Ex-villain." I corrected her, "And yep, that's me."

"Does Lloyd know that you like him?" Nya asked, "And does he like you back? I just want to know that real quick."

"He confessed first."

"Oh." Nya blinked, "Wow. The last time I saw Morro, he was trying to kill everyone at Stixx. Now he's a soft hearted person that confessed his feelings, vulnerably, first?"

"Lloyd doesn't know that we like each other." I answered Nya's former question, "For... pretty obvious reasons."

"Are ghosts still afraid of water?" Nya asked.

"Don't try and drown him, please." I looked over at the rising sun again. It was dyeing the sky a beautiful combination of pink and orange. It almost felt like there were invisible paintbrushes drawing streaks across the sky.

"I won't." Nya promised, "But are they? Because if Harumi and Rattlesnake are, then I can just send a tidal wave towards them and ba-da-boom, we're done already. Battle over. No mysterious dragon beast thing."

"I'll have to ask Morro when everyone wakes up." I shrugged one shoulder.

"Alright." Nya looked up at the sky again and then she scooted over, leaning her head on my shoulder. "I missed you, Livvy. A lot. The whole Ninja force was missing you when there were little crimes going on. Jay even saved you a spot on his Electric Falcon."
