Despite Lloyd and I being 5 years apart and separated for... around eight years of our lives, we actually got along well. Sure, sometimes Lloyd and I disagreed on things and our conversations got a little heated, but it wasn't to the point where we hated each other and would never speak to each other again. Lloyd and I were both similar, in a sense, so it wasn't hard.

Some brothers are not comfortable proclaiming their love for their sisters or brothers out into the world, but that's not Lloyd Garmadon. He is such a sweet and sensitive person and he cares a lot about the people who are dear to him. He is honestly such a good person and I love him with all my heart, naturally.

I remember this one time, we went to the Monster Amusement Park. I was around 11 years old and Lloyd was 16 years old. It was his birthday and he had wanted for the both of us to hang out. I remember we were on a bench and eating cotton candy. It was still awkward, since we had just met each other, but Lloyd was extremely excited to get to know me. I remember when he asked me a question and I was too shy to respond and he said, "Liv... you never have to hide things from me. You never have to be afraid of being judged or looked down upon. Because I'm your brother and I love you. I promise to never do that to you."

"What are you writing about?" I jumped and looked over my shoulder. Lloyd was reading the entry and I slammed my journal shut, my face flushing red for some reason. Lloyd smirked and crossed his arms.

"Nothing!" I protested, "Well, nothing important."

"You were pretty invested in that entry." Lloyd grinned, "What, writing about how much you love your older brother and how he's amazing?" Lloyd teased me.

"Something along those lines, actually." I said with a hint of a smile, surprising Lloyd for a faint second. "But what do you want?"

"I can't swing by and say a friendly hello?" Lloyd's smirk deepened and I lifted an eyebrow. He lifted his hands up innocently, "Okay, you got me, you got me. I just wanted to know if you plan on going on a flight with Luna. You know, getting used to her flight patterns, her speed, everything. It's going to be good practice."

"Is she going to be like your mech dragon?" I teased.

"My mech dragon is awesome." Lloyd insisted.

"But you can't drive it." I shot back with a laugh.

Lloyd rolled his eyes, "I don't know if Luna will be like my mech dragon. Just go and ride her. Test it out. Get to know your ride for... however long she plans on staying."

"... Don't you dare tease me about this, but I'm afraid of going on her on my own." I admitted, "I mean, I have no experience whatsoever. What's going to stop her from throwing me to the ground and burning me to a crisp?"

"You guys felt a connection, didn't you?" Lloyd asked me, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah... but I don't want to hurt her. Just... despite your horrible driving skills, can you help me with my dragon? Maybe since this one is an actual dragon, your mentoring won't be so bad, you know." I elbowed Lloyd, who playfully glared at me.

"Fine." Lloyd finally said, "But calm her down if she gets riled up, okay?"

"You afraid of getting burned to a crisp?" I teased him.

"Maybe just a little." Lloyd admitted, smirking.

The thing about being in the air without anything to catch yourself with is that your legs start to tremble. It's uncontrollable, honestly, and it just... happens. My whole entire form was shaking as I watched Lloyd eye Luna warily, as if my dragon was going to bite his head off when she got the chance. I gently picked up the reins that Lloyd had pulled around Luna and then stroked her snout, earning myself a mix of a purr and a growl.

"Be good." I scolded gently, stroking her snout gently. "Don't throw Lloyd and I off, you got it?"

Luna huffed, as if she couldn't believe that I would tell her about this. I looked over my shoulder at Lloyd, who was tightening a part of Luna's reins. Suddenly, Lloyd tightened it a little too much and Luna groaned, her wing flailing out. Lloyd yelped and then ducked, nearly getting swatted into the air. Once he straightened, he looked up at Luna, "Whoa there. Be careful about where your wing hits, won't you?"

I muffled a giggle as Luna side eyed Lloyd and fluttered her wings to the ground, her gaze sliding back to the sky before her. I walked over to Lloyd, who was gaping at Luna for side eyeing him, and I waved one hand in front of his face. "Ninjago to Lloyd. Hello?"

"Did your dragon just side eye me?" Lloyd asked, pointing at Luna.

"Yes." I snorted, "It was hilarious to watch."

"She's so sassy," Lloyd muttered, "like her master." I smacked Lloyd's shoulder at the latter comment and he grinned at me. I huffed and then climbed onto Luna's back with Lloyd right behind me. Once I sat down, Lloyd sat behind me and then gripped my shoulder with one hand to steady himself.

"You good?" I asked him.

"All good. You?" Lloyd responded and I let out a breath, gazing at the sky before us. Please let us stay on that sky. Please... I trailed off in thought and then nodded at Lloyd.

"Ready. Brace yourselves." I murmured and then, I pulled forward onto the reins and Luna's wings shot open at startling speed. Before I even registered what had happened, we were in the air, soaring at what seemed like top speed.

"Ack! Slow her down!" Lloyd shrieked from behind me, his grip on my shoulder loosening just a little bit. I gasped and then pulled back on the reins. Luna jerked back and then looked over at me. I winced.

"I'm sorry, girl." I reached forward to brush her ears with my fingers, "We should learn how to coordinate, okay? Unless I say take off fast, you take off slow. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before. That was my fault." I sighed and then straightened, gazing back at Lloyd.

"Whew." Lloyd's hand was on my shoulder again, his fingers digging slightly into my collarbone. "That was... fast."

"I know. Luna has a lot of potential in her." I complimented my dragon, smiling at her when Luna tossed her head back as if to agree. We floated through the sapphire colored sky on Luna's wings and Lloyd sighed with relief.

"Well, that wasn't bad, actually." Lloyd commented, "Do you think that you and Luna are connecting well now?"

"Yeah." I smiled, "I think we are, actually."

"That's good." Lloyd nudged my shoulder with his fist, "You're a natural at this, little sis. You really didn't need me to come along after all."

"Of course I needed you." I said to Lloyd, "I would've plummeted to the ground first thing if you hadn't come, you know."

"I'm just glad that you and Luna are able to get along." Lloyd sighed, brushing his hair back. "I miss my dragon sometimes."

"Aw. Well, I'm sure that you and Luna will get along just fine." I said, stroking Luna's head. Luna purred with content and then rubbed her forehead against my hand, making me smile at her affection.

"I hope that we at least have a mutual relationship without her flaming me in the face." Lloyd commented and I smirked.

"Don't do that, Luna." I said down to my dragon and then added in a low whisper, "Unless I tell you to."

"Heyyyy!" Lloyd protested and I laughed.

"No, dude. Don't worry. I won't do that to you. You're my brother." I said, "You're the last person that I would want to hurt."

"Awww, come here." Lloyd pulled me into a hug and I squeaked when he pulled me back just a tiny bit. "You're the last person I want to hurt, too, Liv."

Luna's eyes rolled to the back of her head at our affection and then, she dove down towards the monastery, making both Lloyd and I cringe back at the speed.
