Scrolling on my laptop, I bounced Max in my lap, making the baby boy coo. My older brother and the rest of the Ninja went to the city to visit Darreth with Mia and Felix. They left Max behind because he was napping and they didn't want to wake him up. I offered to stay behind and watch the kid since I didn't really care to see Darreth anyways.

"Bright!" Max pointed at the screen, hopping ecstatically like a spring on my lap as he pointed at my laptop's screen.

"Hey, good job, buddy. You're learning quickly." I smiled down at Max, who grinned and tapped his small fingers on the edge of the desk, babbling.

"Livvy!" Max pointed at me and then pointed at himself, "Max!"

"Yes, your name is Max. Good job." I chuckled, scrolling through a list of articles. Suddenly, one particular article caught my eye, and I paused to click into it, bouncing Max when he continued to babble, trying to squirm out of my reach.

"Boing!" Max bounced and then continued to murmur to himself, "Boing, boing, boing, boing, boing..."

"The Life Story of the Old Jade Princess, Harumi." I read the article title out loud and then looked down at Max, "Should I read it?"

"Bada-bee!" Max exclaimed.

"Yes it is." I smirked before clicking into the article, crossing my legs as I continued to read about my brother's old lover, learning her whole life story.

"Princess Harumi was born into Ninjago city as a commoner, with her birth parents being farmers on the field. She lived a happy and simple life, admiring the Ninja as her heroes as she continued to grow. Then, around when she was 9 years old, Ninjago city was attacked by the Great Devourer, and many buildings crumbled into dust at the Great Devourer's wrath. Many people were either injured or died, and unfortunately, Harumi's parents were one of the deaths. Harumi became known as the Quiet one to those who rescued her, and she secretly adopted that name for a sinister plan while being adopted by the Jade Palace."

"Of course. That damn snake can never catch a break, huh? Never heard this part of the story before though. Harumi seems so innocent." I muttered, scrolling down to continue to read. Max reached out for a popcorn in the bowl in front of me, and I handed it to him, making him chew on it in small little bits.

"A few years after the tragedy with the Great Devourer, the Jade Emperor, his wife, and Princess Harumi invited the Ninja to their palace after they prevented an accident from happening at the Jade Palace's ceremony. The Ninja were invited to stay in the palace, and were instructed to protect the Oni Mask. One specific night, Lloyd Garmadon, the son of Lord Garmadon and Misako Garmadon, discovered that the Jade Princess's room was ransacked, and the princess herself was nowhere to be found."

"Egads, brother. What did you do next?" I questioned.

"The Green Ninja immediately leapt out of the palace and went searching for the princess, spotting a suspicious person running away from the scene. Lloyd hunted the person down, and he revealed to himself that the person was actually Harumi, and the sack she had been carrying, which was thought to have contained her, actually contained food for the needy. She invited Lloyd to the harbor with her, for fear of getting caught, and the Green Ninja agreed, disguising himself and handing out food with the princess."

"And then my brother falls for her. Geez, he catches feelings quickly." I said, and then laughed quietly to myself. That was a lie. It was hard to get Lloyd to catch feelings. Harumi must have really hit him hard then.

"After that, Lloyd and Harumi grew closer in bond, but were caught by the former guard at the palace, Hutchins. Hutchins escorted Harumi and Lloyd back to the palace, and soon after, everyone called it a night and went to bed. However, later in the next night, tragedy struck the Jade Palace."
