"Focus on your powers, Livvy." Uncle Wu whispered as I closed my eyes, trying to think of my power. All I've really been doing is the physical training, but I've never gone and explored my skills in my elemental powers. Uncle Wu was giving me lessons today on how to control my power and be one with it. I imagined my power like a strong but controlled river, running through my body until that was all I was. A controlled stream of power.

"Uncle Wu." I whispered, feeling my hands warm with that familiar calling of my powers, "I think..."

"You're doing it, Liv." Uncle Wu encouraged, "If closing your eyes helps you, keep them closed. You're getting the hang of this."

"I want to open my eyes." I murmured and cracked open one eye, but then the foundation I had built up inside of me started to crumble and I quickly squeezed my eyes shut. Uncle Wu tsked and then tapped his staff on the ground.

"You have to start small, niece. Do not let the foundation that you have built up crumble. You have to get over your greatest fear and start small." Uncle Wu whispered in a soothing voice and I squinted my eyes shut, trying to block out all the distractions.

"And what is my greatest fear, Uncle Wu?" I asked, even though I knew what it was.

"You are afraid of falling behind and not approaching the standards that others have set for you." Uncle Wu said and I flinched internally. "You are afraid that you will drag others down with you. You are afraid that they will be sympathetic because sometimes, you don't need their sympathy."

"You're creepy just by knowing that, Uncle Wu." I managed to say through my immense concentration on keeping it together.

"Open your eyes, Liv." Uncle Wu instructed and when I opened them, they flared a bright purple. I wanted to squeeze them shut again, but I kept them open. I looked up at Uncle Wu and realized that my veins were glowing beneath my skin. I let out a yelp of shock and then fell to the ground. Have I been floating too? I thought to myself as I got up, rubbing my back.

Uncle Wu sighed and I did, too. "I'm sorry, Uncle Wu. I broke my concentration. I just... I just didn't expect my veins to be... glowing."

"It's okay, Liv." Uncle Wu whispered, "I'm glad that you're even up for training, considering what happened to you yesterday."

"I feel fine." I quickly filled in the silence, "It will take a lot more than a crazy psychopath villain for me to give up."

"That's my niece." Uncle Wu smiled and I smiled slightly, getting up and bowing towards my uncle.

"Thank you for your time today, uncle." I whispered.

"Thank you for practicing with me today." Uncle Wu responded and then I exited the room, closing the door behind me. Then, everyone jumped up from behind me and I screamed, throwing my hands up as I ducked onto the ground, sweeping my leg. Everyone jumped over it and then Cole laughed.

"Ohhh, that was too good." He shook his head, "You should've heard your scream, Liv!"

"You guys are not funny." I snapped after I regained my breath, "I thought that the Mechanic was back for me again. Oh, my gosh." I pressed my hand to my chest and Kai lifted his fists, punching into the air.

"Oh, heck no! We'd pin him before he even got out of prison!" Kai said and I laughed, rolling my eyes. I love how protective the Ninja are, but sometimes it gets a little crazy. They act like they need to swarm around me and only worry about me, not themselves or anyone else.

"Oh, sure. If you don't run away from the fight first." Cole drawled in a teasing tone and I laughed when Kai shoved him, making Cole laugh as he tackled him back. I watched the two of them wrestle and I shook my head.
