"Heya. You awake?" I heard someone ask me and I groaned, trying to shy away from the voice. My shoulder was shaken roughly and I blinked, ignoring the agonizing pain in my back. I let out shuddering breaths and I opened my eyes, only to find the Mechanic staring.

"Go away." I whispered hoarsely, trying to sound as firm as I could without letting my whimpers of pain escape, "Haven't you done enough to me? Just go."

"I'm afraid I can't do that." The Mechanic grinned once he realized I was awake and lucid enough to talk to him, "How's that burn feeling?"

I didn't respond, looking down at my hands instead. They were tied together at the wrist in front of me and then another layer of chains wrapped around it. The end of the chain was bolted onto the ground and my legs were also tied up by rope. I was tied by the waist to a cold, metal pole loosely (thankfully for my burn) by rope as well and I blinked, trying to get a piece of my hair out of my face.

"You're trapped here." The Mechanic said smugly, "Just like prison, ain't it? Now you know what I went through when I was in Kryptarium."

"What do you even want?" I growled, "To hurt me? So that you'll feel better before you go into prison? What is this major plan of yours?"

"I can't tell you. Everyone else would know." The Mechanic said, patting my cheek with his cold, robotic hand. I flinched away and he let out a bark of laughter before getting up, accidentally kicking a robotic arm at me. I scooted as far away from it as I could.

"It's not like I'm going anywhere." I said, straining against the rope until my arm started to cramp. I glared at the Mechanic and he grinned back at me. I snarled, "Just let me out of here. Lloyd will find me anyways and then he'll hurt you. It's stupid to just let me sit in this... where even are we?" I asked, trying to find out where we were.

"Ahh, smart girl." The Mechanic drawled, "But I'm not falling for that."

Damn it. I cursed inside my head before straining against the ropes again, trying to call on my elemental powers. But from what I had heard about the Mechanic, he wasn't stupid. I glanced down at the chains and then sighed. Vengestone. What more should I expect?

"Hm." The Mechanic turned towards me and then grabbed my face, squeezing my cheeks inward with his fingers. He jerked my face back and forth, examining every corner before he let go, making me jerk back and pant heavily, trying not to look like I was tired. But I was. My burn from the taser felt like hell branded me and I was hooked up in the Mechanic's lair. Terrific. What a wonderful break from hero stuff.

"What?" I demanded once he let go and turned his back on me.

"Nothing." The Mechanic hummed and then tapped a key on the computer, "Wanna say hi to your brother, daughter of Garmadon?"

"What are you talking about?" I snapped, but for a second, my heart stopped at the thought of the Mechanic nabbing my brother as well. But then, the Mechanic tapped on the screen and I realized that he had my earpiece in his palm. Oh. He's trying to contact Lloyd through the earpieces. Well, that's expected, I suppose.

"Here we go." The Mechanic leaned back triumphantly when the screen blipped and Lloyd's frantic face appeared on the screen, his eyes searching for one thing in this room. Me. "I installed a video enhancer into your stupid earpiece and now, we can all negotiate."

"Liv? Liv, where are you?" Lloyd shouted and I barely kept down a whimper. My brother was right there in front of me, but it was only through a screen that the Mechanic could shut down any second.. He's there, but he's not really here.

"She's right here, green ninja." The Mechanic gestured at me and he walked towards me, "Doesn't she look comfortable?"

"Let her go." Lloyd demanded stonily, "We can come to a solution without you kidnapping my sister. Let her go and we will talk about this, face to face."
