Y/n sat sulking in her room, dreading the upcoming camping trip Taylor and Joe had planned for the weekend. To Y/n, the idea of being in the great outdoors, with no WiFi or cell connection was simply appalling. She preferred the comfort of her cozy bedroom, free from the prying eyes of mosquitoes and creepy crawlies. But alas, her complaints fell on deaf ears, and the camping adventure ensued.

They hit the road in Joe's beat-up old van. It was one of those old camper where the only seats were the three in the front, none in the back. So Joe was in the drivers seat, Taylor in the passenger seat, and Y/n inbetween. Y/n couldn't help but notice the smell wafting through the vehicle. She wrinkled her nose in disgust and turned to Taylor, exclaiming,

"Mum, is that the smell of old cheese? Please tell me we aren't going to be living in this camper for the next two nights!"

Taylor exchanged an amused glance with Joe and replied, "Oh, don't worry, sweetie. We'll only use it to drive there and back, and we can keep our clothes and stuff in here. The real adventure begins once we set up our tents in the wilderness!"

Y/n's heart sank. Tents? The thought of spending the night on the cold, hard ground with nothing but a piece of fabric separating her from the creatures of the night sent shivers down her spine. She silently prayed that the tents went missing or something, so that they would have no choice but to go home but unfortunately, reality had a different plan.

"Do I have to sleep in the tent?" She asked

"Yes"
"Yes" They said in unison.

"But you get your own little one person tent." Taylor informed.

"Yeah, your mother and I want to spend the night in our own tent, just us two." Joe said, smirking at Taylor.

"Oh c'mon! Do you guys seriously have to have sex in a tent? I swear, I will pack up my bags and drive away, because you guys forced me to come along, and-" Y/n began, grimacing at the thought of her mom and Joe in that tent. But she was interrupted by Taylor.

"No! Of course not. That's... that's not going to happen... no." Taylor reassured. She gave Joe a look, basically telling him to just shut up from now on.

"Mum, why did you hesitate?"

There was silence.

"W-why did you hesitate, Mum?" Y/n's voice was starting to break.

"Isn't that scenery just beautiful!" Taylor cleared her throat, trying to change the subject, gazing out of the window at the beautiful mountains.

"It really is magnificent here." Joe agreed. "I used to come here alot as a kid."

"Yeah? It's so beautiful. I can understand why all of those poets ran away to here."

That conversation went of for a while. Y/n was still annoyed at the whole 'just us two' comment.

"So what are we actually doing here, other then hiking?" Y/n asked

"We didn't really plan anything." Taylor shrugged.

Y/n chuckled at her reply, and mumbled, "I thought you said if you fail to plan you plan to fail."

"Ha, she got you there!" Joe laughed out.

Arriving at the campsite, they enthusiastically set up their tents, or at least attempted to. Joe, who was convinced he possessed professional camping skills and didn't need a 'stupid' instruction sheet, ended up tangling himself in the tent ropes and having a battle royale with the tent poles. Taylor tried to help him, but honestly, Joe was far from being saved.
