Part 10 - Girls Night

Friday Night

Mia just arrived at my place and we are getting ready for a girls night out. Jake is watching us, because he says I'm still in danger, so he has to follow me everywhere I go.

"He really has to follow us? What if you're going to pee? Or if you want to leave with a man?"

"I don't know." I say and I look in my lingerie drawer. "Black or purple?"

"Purple."

"Good choice."

I giggle and I put on my lingerie. I'm not ashamed of my friend. We are friends since we were kids and seeing each other naked is not something that's bothering us. We put on our dresses and we're ready to go.

Jake: "Finally, the princesses are ready." He rolls his eyes.

Mia: "Fuck off, asshole."

Jo: "Why you have to be like this?"

Jake: "You said you are ready in one hour. Two fucking hours ago!"

Jo: "We were busy getting pretty. Who know with whom we're leaving."

Jake: "You really think I'm going to let you leave with some fucker?"

Jo: "You will. Let's go."

We leave my apartment and Jake drives us to the club where we are going to meet with Riley and Amanda.

Jo: "You can wait us here."

Jake: "You really think I'm going to let you go alone."

Jo: "You can't do this! What if I'm going to want to go home with man?!"

Jake: "You won't." He smirks.

Jo: "Okay. That goes for you too."

Jake: "Ha-ha. Walk, sis."

We get inside and I look around to see Riley and Amanda. When I finally spot them, I take Mia's hand and I drag her towards them, escaping from Jake for a little while.

Jo: "Amanda, Riley, this is Mia, my best friend."

Riley: "Nice to meet you."

Amanda: "It's nice to meet you."

Mia: "Same!"

Jo: "First round of shots is on me. I'll be right back with them." I walk to the bar and I order our first round of shots.

"Are you lost, baby girl?" I hear a voice coming from my right.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not coming from 365 Days movie. I'm not lost and I'm not interested."

"You are really pretty, princess." I feel his hand on my back.

"Take off your hand or else I'm going to cut it."

"Ugh, you are playing hard to get. I like it." I'm disgusted by this kind of men.

"What you don't understand from N-O-T I-N-T-E-R-E-S-T-E-D?!"

"Man, she was here alone, drinking!" He finally takes his hand off.

"The lady is with me! Touch her one more time and you are a dead man." I feel his hand on my back. I take my tray and I get up. "Josephine."

"Thank you for saving me, but I could have managed it alone, Hero."

"Yeah, sure. So... All of these are for you?"

"Not your business, bye-bye." I say and I hurry to get lost.

I'm back at the girls and I give them the shots. We drink them and we go to the dance floor. We spend the next hours dancing and drinking shots while Jake is watching us. And I don't feel only Jake's eyes on me. I tell the girls I am going to the bathroom and I also text Jake, then I go to the bathroom. I get inside the bathroom and I lock the door, then I go to pee. As soon as I'm done, I wash my hands, I arrange my hair and I reapply my lipstick. When I open the door, I'm pushed back by Hero and he quickly locks the door.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" I push him away.

"What are YOU doing?!" He's really angry and I don't know why. We ended the things between us, so what's with this reaction?

"Hero, what do you want from me?"

"You! I want you! For fuck's sake?"

"We are done, Hero. Let me go."

"Why do you want to make me jealous, blondie?" He says grabbing my chin in his hand, forcing me to look at him.

"You can't be jealous if we're not together! Let me go before I call him here to beat you!"

"No! So, who is he?"

"Fuck off, Hero!" I lift my knee and I hit him between his legs. And with that, he let me go and I escape from him.

I find the girls in our booth and they are looking at me.

Mia: "Jo? Are you okay?"

Jo: "Can we go somewhere else?"

Riley: "Why?"

Jo: "Well..." I look back to see if Jake is here and thank God he's not. "My..." How I should call Hero? Ex? We weren't together for long. "My kind of ex-boyfriend is here."

Mia: "Fucking asshole!"

Amanda: "Hero?"

Riley: "What?" She laughs. "You dated him?"

Jo: "Just for a few days. Can we go, please?"

Riley: "I recommend you to stay away from him. He's a player, Jo."

Jo: "I saw that." I sigh.

Jake: "What's wrong, sis?"

Jo: "It's time to go home."

We leave the club and we part our way from Riley and Amanda. Jake takes me and Mia home and he leaves.

"It was fun."

"Until that asshole showed up." I roll my eyes and I put on my pajamas.

"Actually, what did he do?"

"He ignored me for day and after that, he came to me like nothing happened. So, I think being single is the best option for me in this moment. Especially now that Jake is following me at every step. I wouldn't be able to meet someone new or have sex. Jake is everywhere when I'm alone."

"Single is the best option, girl. So... I was thinking... As my birthday is coming, what do you say if we're going in a trip."

"Sounds good. Where?"

"Ibiza."

"Love the destination. I'm saying 'yes'."

"Perfect! That's a plan!" She claps her hands. "I'll plan everything in the next days. You better talk with your boss to tell him when you want to be free."

"I will, but when are we going?"

"My birthday is on June 13th, so... If we leave on 10th it's perfect. A five days holiday. We can even charm hot guys in Ibiza."

"A one-night stand doesn't sounds bad." I smirk. "It will make me forget about... Hero."

"Hero is an ass and he doesn't deserve a girl like you. You are nice, kind, cute... when he's an asshole. And he's just a player. You hear what Riley said."

"I know, I know."

"And try to make him stay away from you. Jake won't be happy if he's lurking around you."

"I know. Now, let's sleep. It was a nice night."

"It was."

"Good night."
