Josephine
After our delicious dinner, I let Hero on the couch and I go to try on the dresses I bought. The first dress is a midi one with spaghetti straps, in a beautiful olive silk with a crossover cowl neckline and a leg split. I walk down on the stairs and I look at his reaction. He seems to be speechless.
"Oh, wow. You look incredible in this dress, baby."
"Thank you." I turn around so he can see me from all the angles.
"Go and try the next one. You can take it off here." I laugh as I walk up the stairs.
"Not yet, babe."
I put on the next dress. It's also a midi dress, from silk and in a beige color. It has a v-neckline, a semi open back and full length balloon sleeves. He doesn't seems to be too impressed by this dress, so I walk back to try the last dress. It's a simple short red dress.
"So? Which one?"
"Hmm... The first one is the winner. It's the most beautiful dress. Now... can we walk upstairs so I can take this dress off?" He smirks and he stands up walking towards me.
"Yes." I giggle and I walk upstairs with him behind me.
Sunday night...
After a beautiful ceremony between family and friends, it's finally time to party. I'm not that excited, but I have to be here for my cousin. I'm really happy for her, I really do. But I know I will have to stay away from my family, so I won't be forced to meet that man.
On hour in the party and I avoided my family successfully. I get out of the bathroom, after refreshing my make-up, and I'm greeted by Jake.
"Good evening, sis. Did you enjoy avoiding us?" He smirks.
"Leave me alone, Jake. I'm not in the mood."
"You have to come with me to meet Adam."
"I don't have time for this."
"Don't play with dad's nerves and be a good girl."
"You can't understand I don't want to get married?"
"I understand, but dad don't. If you don't want to get married, do something. But now, come and meet that guy. He's not bad. And you don't have to marry him right now. Just play ours father's game."
"Okay." I sigh and I follow him.
Elizabeth: "Josephine, darling!"
Louis: "Finally! Adam, this is my beloved daughter, Josephine. Josephine, this is Adam."
Adam: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Josephine." He takes my hand and he kisses the back of it. He seems to be nice, but he's not my type.
Jo: "You can call me Jo."
Adam: "Will you dance with me?"
Jo: "Yeah." He takes my hand and we go on the dance floor.
"How old are you?"
"I will be 26 in August. What about you?"
"Thirty. I hear from your father that you are working, right? What do you do?"
"I'm an interior designer. You?"
"I own a modeling business. I'm the CEO."
"Oh, that's really nice."
"You know, I can't wait to get to know you better. You seems to be really nice."
"Adam, I don't want to disappoint you, but I'm not interested in an arranged marriage. I like someone else and I don't want to be a part of this game of my parents. I'm sure you are a great guy, but I don't want this. I'm sorry, Adam."
"Hey, it's okay. I'm glad you were honest with me. And I really appreciate honesty."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I'm forced to marry you too. Or else I'm going to lose my CEO position, but I understand you. I am in love with someone else."
"And why did you said that you can't wait to get to know me?"
"I don't know."
"I'm sorry, Adam."
"You don't have to be sorry. But how are we going to solve this?"
"I don't know. But I will come up with an idea before they start planning the wedding."
"Okay."
A few hours later, I decided it's time to go home. I'm tired and I want to sleep. I say goodbye to Kath and Zion and some other family members, then I walk to my car. I get inside and I call Hero. I miss him and I want to see him.
Phone call
"Hi!"
"Hey. Everything is alright?"
"Yeah. I'm in my car ready to go home. Can you come to my place?"
"I'm really sorry, blondie. I'm not in town. Something came up and I had to leave."
"Oh, that's okay. When you will be back?"
"I leave from here around midnight and it will take me almost two hours to be back."
"Come at my place, okay?"
"I don't want to wake you up."
"It doesn't matter, just come, please."
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I just need to be with you." I sigh.
"Okay, I will be there as soon as I can."
"Thank you. I... I can't wait to be in your arms again."
"Me too. See you soon, blondie."
I smile and I end the call. After 30 minutes, I park the car in my parking lot and I go home. As I get inside, I take off my shoes and I walk to the bathroom where I take off my dress and underwear and I take a shower. When I'm done, I wrap my robe around me and I go to the kitchen to drink some wine. I pour some wine in a glass and I go to sit on the couch. I scroll on Netflix until I find a nice movie. I don't want to sleep until Hero's here.
I fail miserably and I end falling asleep on the couch.
I'm woken up by a knock at the door. The TV is on and it's running some movie on Netflix. I'm still in my bath robe. I quickly get up and I go to open the door.
"Shit. I woke you up?"
"Yeah, but it's okay. I said I will wait for you." I let him inside and I lock the door.
"How was the wedding?" he takes off his shoes and he turns off the tv, then we walk up the stairs in my bedroom.
"Nice. I meet Adam. My future husband."
"Your future what?" he turns to me and he's fuming. Okay, I wanted to joke, but the jokes aren't working with Hero.
"Adam. My future husband."
"Then why the fuck you called me if you accepted to marry him?"
"Shit, I'm sorry. I talked with him. And he doesn't want to marry me. He is also in love with someone else and we don't want this arranged marriage. I only want you, Hero."
"Okay, I'm sorry. I'm just tired." He takes off his t-shirt and his jeans and he gets in bed, so I take the advantage and I lift up his t-shirt, putting it on me. After that, I get in bed, next to him. I put my head on his chest and he gently rubs my back. "I might have an idea how you can escape from this plan."
"I'm listening you." I look at him.
"Well, I thought about it. If you are already married, your parents can't force you to marry someone else or to divorce. So... I'm suggesting that we should get married."
