Josephine
I walk to Jake and he jumps when I appear behind him.
"What the fuck?!"
"What are you doing here?"
"We were worried about you. You didn't pick up your phone and Mia called me desperately that you don't answer and you are not home or at work."
"I'm fine, don't worry. Do you want something else from me?"
"Won't you invite me upstairs?"
"Sorry, but I'm in a hurry. I'm leaving with my workmates in a teambuilding."
"Where?"
"I have no idea."
"And how's life going?" He says as he follows me upstairs.
"Good."
"Are you sure? I have a feeling that you have some secrets."
"You are wrong." I laugh nervously. "I'm a little bit stress because of work, that's all."
"Let's say I believe you."
"It's was nice to see you, now I have a lot of things to do."
"That's not nice."
"C'mon, Jake. I have to pack my bag. I need silence. I'm leaving around midnight."
"Do you need a ride to the airport?"
"Nope. A car will come and take me. Don't worry."
"Alright. Call mom, okay?"
"I will. Thanks for checking me, bro." I smile and I hug him.
"That's what big brothers are for." He winks and he kisses my cheek. "Take care sis, okay?"
"Okay."
Jake leaves and I lock the door after him. Soon after he leaves, I get a call from Hero.
Phone call
"I'm leaving now. He left?"
"Yeah. A few minutes ago."
"Good. Pack your bag and wait me."
"Okay."
After 30 minutes, I'm done with my bag. In time for Hero's arrival. I go to unlock the door and I let him inside.
"Are you ready?" I nod and I take my bag from the floor.
"No, let me." He takes my bag and we leave my apartment.
"What did you tell him?"
"That I'm going in a team-building with my work-mates."
"Good. Oh, by the way. I talked with Will and I announced him that you are taking a break."
"You know I could do this by myself, right?"
"Yeah, but Will is my friend."
"Okay, I don't want to fight about it."
"Good."
Ten hours later...
After a terrible flight, not because of the altitude, but because of the pregnancy. But Hero was there to support me. I love him more than anything and I'm grateful for having him in my life. We finally arrived at his place.
"Where's the bathroom?"
"First door on the left." He says and I hurry to the bathroom to throw up.
After ten minutes, I finally emptied my stomach.
