Part 13 - Spice Up

I just arrived home and I have to do something so Jake can leave me alone.

"You don't have to be somewhere this evening?"

"Nope. Why?"

"Just asking."

I quickly write Hero a message to announce him that our plans for tonight are off. And he calls me, so I walk on the terrace so I can talk with him.

Phone call

"What do you mean our plans are off? I'm already on my way."

"Jake doesn't have plans for tonight and he's staying here." I sigh.

"Fuck. You can't make up something so he can leave? I miss you, blondie. It's been two long days without you."

"I don't know what to say, Hero."

"Just lie him about something."

"Okay. Let me do some calls. I'll call you back."

"Hurry up."

I end the call and I decided to call Mia. She's going to help. She likes Jake and she's going to keep him busy for the night.

Phone call

"Mi, I'm desperate. I need your help."

"You are scaring me, Jo."

"Can you call Jake and ask him to help you with some brokem in your house? I need him out of the house tonight."

"Huh, why?"

"I... I am seeing someone."

"And it's not easier to tell him this?"

"You know Jake. Mi."

"I'm sorry, I can't. I'm getting ready to go out. I'm really sorry."

"Oh, it's okay. I will cancel everything. Thanks anyway and have fun!"

"Thank you." I say and I end the call. I walk inside and Jake is ready to leave somewhere. "Where are you leaving?"

"Mom and dad are back. I'm going to see him. Come with me."

"I can't. I'm tired after work ans I'm not feeling better."

"Okay. But tomorrow they will want to see you. So, get better, sis." He kisses my forehead.

"Thank you. Tell them I said hi and I'm going to visit them tomorrow."

"Alright. See you tomorrow."

He leaves and I breathe in relief. In the end I didn't have to do something about Jake. I quit take my phone and I call Hero.

Phone call

"Did you get rid of him?"

"Yeah. I'll talk to you as soon as you arrive, okay?"

"Okay, see you soon blondie."

Fifteen minutes later, I hear a knock at my door and I go to open the door and I laugh when I see him. He's wearing a cap and some sun glasses.

"What's with this look?" I let him inside and he removes his accessories.

"So, no one would recognize me."

"Well, I did recognize you." I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Of course you did. You are my girlfriend."

"Am I?"

"Of course! I don't want anyone else." He pecks my lips. "Oh... How did you get rid of your brother?"
