Josephine
If I thought I didn't hate anything in this world, now I can say I hate something. I hate to stay in bed and do nothing. I am allowed to do the minimum of activities like showering, eating and doing small walks, but not more. And this is pissing me off. I can't work, I can't cook, I can't do anything because my beloved husband is overprotective.
"Hero!" I yell and he comes running in the bedroom.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I am more than okay. I'm bored."
"What do you want to do?
"Can we leave the house for the weekend? Go out of the city?"
"Let me think of something, blondie."
"No! We're packing and we're leaving the town. I don't care where, but it's been two weeks since I was put on bed rest. If I will stay in the apartment for one more hour, I'm going to go crazy!"
"Okay, fine. We're leaving!" He sighs. "Let's pack."
In the next half hour, we pack some bags and we get ready. I don't care where we go, I just want to be out.
As soon as we're ready, we leave the apartment and Hero drives away.
"So, where are you taking me?"
"My friend, Andy, is having a cabin two hours away from New York. He's there with his wife and their kid and he invited us."
"Aw, that's so sweet of him. I can't wait to breath some fresh air."
"Bu you can't do too much, okay? I don't want anything happen to you or to our baby, alright?"
"I will be fine. I'll reach the second trimester in two weeks."
"I know, but the doctor said you have to take care, so I will do anything to keep you and baby safe."
"I love you."
"I love you too, blondie."
Two hours later, Hero parks the car next to a cabin in the woods. The view is really nice. It's the middle of November and the colors of fall are amazing.
"The view is amazing, Hero."
"I know." He helps me to get out of the car, then he takes our bags and we walk to the entrance. I knock at the door and a few moments later, a woman opens the door.
Hero: "Willow!"
Willow: "Long time no see, Hero!" She smiles. "Come on in guys."
Hero: "Thanks." We walk inside. "This is Josephine, my wife."
Jo: "Hello, it's nice to meet you."
Willow: "It's nice to meet you too. I'm surprised by this news, Hero! A wife?" we laugh. Hero let our bag on the floor and he helps me to take off my jacket. A boy is running towards us and I smile. "Jack, come say hi..." She can't end the sentence because the kid runs to Hero.
Jack: "Uncle Herooo!" Hero lifts him up.
Hero: "Hi, buddy. Did you miss me?"
Jack: "Yes!"
Hero: "I didn't came here alone." They turn to me. "Meet Josephine, my girlfriend."
Jack: "Girlfriend?" He looks at me and he blushes. He's adorable.
Hero: "Mhm. Isn't she pretty?"
Jack: "She is." He says quietly and I giggle.
Jo: "Hi, Jack. I'm Josephine. But you can call me Jo."
