Today is a big day. We're going to tell Noah about the baby. I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant and we waited to see that everything is fine. I'm in my second trimester and I'm feeling good. I'm really happy that I don't have the same problems as when I was pregnant with Noah.

I'm making dinner while Noah plays with his train in the living room and while Hero is taking a shower.

"Mummy!" I hear him and a few moments later, he comes in the kitchen.

"Yes, love?"

"Hungry."

"Dinner will be ready in a few minutes."

"Can I have an Oreo?" He says with puppy eyes. Jesus, this kis is going to kill me. I can't resist.

"Only one." I walk to the counter and I take our the biscuits. I take one and I hand it to Noah. "Don't tell daddy, alright?" He giggles and I put the biscuits back and I watch him eating the cookie. I love watching him doing anything. I can't get enough of him.

"Thank you." He says as he finishes his cookie and he comes to hugs my legs.

"You are welcome, love. Can you go upstairs and see if daddy is done with his shower?"

"Yes." He says and he runs upstairs.

A few minutes later, I hear my boys coming downstairs, so I start to put food on our plates.

Noah: "Mummy! Daddy told me you have a surprise for me!"

Jo: "We have a surprise for you, but let's eat, okay?"

Noah: "Okay."

We sit at the table and we start to eat. As I can see, Noah is really excited to know the surprise.

Noah: "So? What's the surprise?"

Hero: "Would you like to have someone to play with?"

Noah: "Yes! I like to play with Matteo. When he will visit us?"

Jo: "I'll call Riley tomorrow. But for now... We want to tell you that you are going to be a big brother. In a few months you will have a baby sister or a baby brother."

Noah: "Are you serious?!"

Hero: "Yeah. Mummy has a baby in her tummy."

Noah: "Nooooo!" He yells and I'm shocked. "Why did you eat the baby?!" We immediately start to laugh and he looks confused at us. "Why are you laughing?"

Hero: "She didn't eat the baby. The baby is growing in her tummy and in a few months, mummy will give birth to the baby."

Noah: "How the baby get there?" I expected the question and I'm prepared.

Jo: "Well... Mummy had a special egg and daddy helped in making the baby."

Noah: "Okay..." He says. "Can I go and play, now?"

Jo: "Yes." I say and he goes to play.

Hero: "Okay... That was all?" He laughs.

"It looks like it." I say and I put my hand on my bump.

"At least he reacted well."

"Better than I expected." He let his hand over mine. "What if we're taking him with us at your next appointment?"

"Sounds good."

A few weeks later...

Doctor: "Hello, it's a surprise to see the three of you." She smiles. "You must be Noah, am I right?"

Noah: "Yes! I'm the big brother!"

Doctor: "That's really nice. Are you ready to see the baby?"

Noah: "Yes."

I go to sit on the bed and I lift up my shirt, as Hero sits on the chair next to me with Noah in his lap. The doctor starts the ultrasound and we see the baby on the screen.

Doctor: "This is the head, two hands, two little legs and the body."

Hero: "Can you see what we're having?"

Doctor: "Yes. It's a little... Girl."

Jo: "Yes!" I say and I smile, then Hero leans on to kiss me.

Noah: "I'm going to have a little sister?"

Hero: "Yes, buddy. Are you happy?"

Noah: "Yes! She won't stole my cars!" We all laugh.

Hero: "But you'll share the toys with her if she wants them, right?"

Noah: "Yeah..."

After our appointment, we go to eat some ice-cream as celebrating the news.

Noah: "I can't wait to tell my friends that I will have a little sister."

Jo: "Are you excited?"

Noah: "Yes. But I won't share the room with her."

Jo: "You won't share a room with her, love. In the first weeks, she's going to sleep with mummy and daddy because she will be little and will need us at night."

Hero: "You slept with us when you were little. The babies are small and as they can't talk, they need to be closer to their parents."

Noah: "But if she will stay with you, I will be able to also sleep with you?"

Jo: "Of course! You can come to sleep with us any time you want. The baby will have her bed."

Noah: "I can't wait to meet her. I will love her so much."

A few months later...

This second pregnancy was easier than the first one. Even if I wanted to give birth naturally, I couldn't do it because the baby wasn't turned upside down and with our doctor, we scheduled a C-section for yesterday afternoon. And here I am now, holding our beautiful blonde daughter, waiting for Hero to bring Noah. I hear the door and I smile as I see my boys coming inside with two bouquets of roses and a pink teddy bear.

Hero: "Hello, mummy."

Jo: "Hello. Hi, baby boy." I smile and I watch him walking to my bed.

Noah: "Hi, mummy. She's my sister?"

Jo: "Yes."

Noah: "Daddy, up!" He says and Hero lifts him up. "She's small." He giggles. "Can I hold her?"

Jo: "Sure." Hero put Noah on the bed next to me and I gently put the baby in his arms.

Noah: "She's cute. But mommy? What's her name?"

Jo: "Noah, meet Nora Luna, your baby sister."

Noah: "Luna... I love you." He kisses her head and I want to cry.

Jo: "I love you both, my babies."

Hero: "We're finally having our happy ending."
