Part 20 - Dead

"What do you want from me?!" I yell at the masked man who's binding me to a chair. "I am a part of Langford family. They won't be happy when they will find out I'm missing!" He just laughs. I try to move, but it's impossible. "And I am related to the Fiennes. My fiancée will come and save me! And he will kill you!" I yell.

"Easy, girl. Hero is not who you think he is. Don't get high hopes in wishing he will be here."

"What are you talking about?"

"You will see later." He laughs.

"No. Hero loves me and he will come! What did I do to deserve this?!"

"Everything you did in the last months was really wrong, girl. So, be patient and wait for your end."

"My... my end?" I say with a node in my neck. I think they are going to... to kill me. No. I can't die. I can't! I start to cry hysterically and that man gets angry, hitting the chair with force with his leg and making me fall on the ground. As feel it, I quickly cover my abdomen. I don't want something bad to happen with my baby.

I don't even know who are they and what I am doing here. It was just a normal day, I was close to work when a black car stopped next to me. A man came and grabbed me and I fainted as soon as he covered my mouth with a cloth. When I woke up, I was already in this basement and this man was binding me. I would do anything to be next to Hero in this moment. I just hope he will find me in time. In a way, I have a feeling that his family is involved in this. I pray to be saved, so I can tell Hero about our baby... In a way, I hope his family is involved. And if they will come here, I will tell them about Hero's child. They won't someone who's carrying Hero's child.

Hero

I'm desperate and I don't think right anymore. I grabbed Nick by the collar of his shirt and I spill anger around. He knows where Jo is and he doesn't want to tell me.

"I repeat, where is she?!" I yell.

"Who are you talking about, Hero?!" I want to kill this bastard. I don't fucking care he was a father figure in the last years, but Jo is more important.

"Josephine Langford! Where are they keeping her? Tell me now! And don't fucking dare to tell me that you don't know anything because I won't believe you."

"I don't know!"

"You know!" I push him away and his back hits the wall. "You know, Nick! I saw you looking around her workplace! Tell me where she is! She's all I have!"

"Hero..."

"No!" I yell. "I fell in love for the first time and because of this family way going on for years, I can't be with the woman I love. It's not right! I don't want to marry someone you pick. I want to have my love story, with my rhythm. I don't want to be forced to get married."

"Your parents doesn't like you were seeing her, Hero."

"I don't give a shit about what they like and what they don't. I only care about my happiness! I had enough of this shitty family. It's time for me to make my own family, to change the name Fiennes!"

"But she's a Langford!"

"I don't care! I care that she loves me and I love her. What's so hard to understand?! I won't do this further."

"What are you talking about?"

"All my father's business. I want a normal life with normal people around me. I don't want to do dirty jobs, okay?! I'm done doing it. So, you better tell me where she is or else I'm going to the police and I'm telling them everything. And I mean everything. And I don't care if I go to prison. We're going down together."

"You can't do that, Hero."

"Oh, yeah? Do you want to watch me?"

"Hero, son... I know you since you were a kid..." I interrupt him.

"Please, don't start with this stories. It won't work. If you don't tell me the exact location where they are keeping Jo, I'm going to police."

"The old basement. But you have to be careful."

"What they want to do to her?" He doesn't respond and I know exactly what they want to do.

"I'm going to kill them. Give me your keys and gun."

"Kiddo..."

"Don't! I can't let them kill my girlfriend. Fuck, my fiancée! We were supposed to get married next week! Give me your keys and you gun, now!" I yell and I'm glad he does what I say. "And you're coming with me. Let your phone or any device here."

"What?"

"I'm not saying it twice! Let's go!"

I take his keys and gun, then we leave to my car. We get inside and I drive away to that place.

"How could you fall in love with her? Knowing she's a Langford?"

"It happened, okay? And I don't want anything bad to happen to her. She's the calm in my life, okay? And stop talking."

I drive faster between the cars, breaking all the rules, only to arrive faster to save her. I knew I shouldn't let her alone. I knew something is planning by my family. With what happened, I will have to make a plan. I need to leave with Jo. We have to get away from our toxic families. But I will make a plan as soon as she will be back in my arms.

As we arrive at the abandoned place, we get out of the car. I walk to the door and I silently open it and we get inside. We quickly walk to the stairs and I go downstairs. It's pretty awkward that no one is here. They didn't expect guests? I finally arrive in the front of the door and there is a lock. Shit. How I'm going to break it? I'm sure they guys are upstairs somewhere and if I'm going to break the lock with my gun, they will hear it.

"Where they are taking the key?"

"I don't know."

"Nick..."

"I have no idea, son! I just had to look around her workplace. I had nothing to do with her kidnaping."

"Then you are going upstairs, casual and you will ask for the key."

"I can't. They won't give it to me."

"Okay... then, go and keep them busy while I broke the lock and while I run away with her."

"Do you think it will work?"

"I think nothing bad will happen if we try our luck."

"Okay." He sighs and he goes upstairs.

After a few minutes, I shot the lock and I quickly open the door, only to find my girl unconscious on the ground. Her body tied to a chair. Shit. I run to her and I start to untie her.

"Jo, baby. Wake up." I quickly untie her and she slowly opens her eyes.

"Hero?"

"Yes, love. I'm here." I finally untie her, I lift her up and I run out of the building. I'm lucky because Nick is keeping them busy, so I can leave before they can notice anything.
