VOLUNTEERING. WHY? WHY WERE THEY VOLUNTEERING?SHE HATED IT. Why would you choose to do manual labor for free? Ofcourse it wasn't like Raina had much of a choice as she'd quickly learned that where the Salvatores and the dopplegänger went so did all the Supernatural action. Besides, the last time she'd decided not to get involved Damon fucking Salvatore had started a war with Mason Lockwood. She was completely and utterly done. As the days passed she grew more and more frustrated.
She had her werewolf, she had her vampire, she had the dopplegänger, Nik had the witch but the only thing that eluded her was the moonstone. You'd think it would be harder to find a near extinct species than a bloody rock. And she didn't even have an inkling as to where the moonstone was, a small soap shaped rock could be quite literally anywhere. And now she was stuck listening to Caroline go on and on about her mommy issues. She truly did not give a damn.
"So suddenly, she's in the running for Mother of the Year just when I'm trying to avoid her the most. I'm babbling, you don't want to hear all this" Caroline complained as they worked on painting the veranda. You're right, I really don't. Raina forced a sympathetic smile onto her face "No it's alright, just continue" Please don't.
"Well, I was a bitch which is par for the course with us. So, how are things with you and Stefan? Anything?" Caroline asked Elena, changing the subject. "No, not since the fight. He's been pushing me away because he thinks that Katherine might get jealous enough to hurt me. I just don't know how to change his mind" The dopplegänger admitted. From everything Raina had heard about Katerina it seemed she'd changed quite a lot. And taken a page or two from her book while she was at it.
"You said that Katherine's dangerous. Maybe he's got a point" The blonde vampire said. "Yeah, I know that she's dangerous and I know that he's just trying to protect me but it feels like giving up and I just..." Elena trailed off. Bullshit. Raina wasn't buying any of this for a second. This didn't affect them before, why were they suddenly on the outs now? The only thing that has changed was that Katerina had admitted to taking vervain.
"Just what?" Caroline asked. "I just thought that we were stronger than that" Elena said. If she was stuck listening to these two whining all day then Raina was pretty sure that Reyna Cruz had somehow stabbed her without her noticing and she was hell. She saw Elena staring at Stefan and Stefan was staring back longingly. Yeah, she was in hell.
"Oh, oh. Longing looks are being exchanged" Caroline said "I'm gonna go talk to him" Elena said, putting her brush down "No, Elena. I think it's a bad idea" The blonde protested but Elena ignored her and made her way towards Stefan as Damon joined the two vampires. "What's her problem?" He asked "Don't worry about it" Caroline responded. "Why are you being such a bitch to your mom?" He asked "Don't worry about it" she repeated.
