RAINA FAILED TO UNDERSTAND WHY Mystic Falls needed a ridiculous amount of festivals and events nearly every other day. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed a good party but Mystic Falls overdid it. And the more festivals the more volunteering. No thanks. Yesterday was incredibly dull with the highlights of her day being Caroline humbling Mason and their rescue of Stefan and Damon. This time she'd been content to sit out the volunteering and keep an eye on Damon. She heard a knock at the door and vamp sped over the door. She saw the Doppelgänger's brother standing in the doorway. "Hello?" She raised an eyebrow.
"I need to talk to Damon" Jeremy said. "Whatever you want to say to him you can say to me" Raina responded "Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet" Jeremy said. The Original stepped aside to let him enter "Anything else?" She asked, feigning interest.
"Mason Lockwood is a werewolf and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here" Little Gilbert continued.
That caught Raina's attention. "A moonstone?" She asked, taking a seat on the couch. "And I know where it is" Jeremy said. Raina tried not to look too eager, she had considered him useless but here he was, solving her problem. "How did you find out about this?" She asked, genuinely curious. "Tyler Lockwood told me" Jeremy said as Damon walked into the room "Why is he here?" He asked, eying the brown haired boy. "I want to help" The doppelgänger's brother said.
"Apparently he's made some interesting discoveries about our Lockwood situation" Raina added. "What did your sister say about these little discoveries?" Damon asked Jeremy. No response. "Oh, you haven't told her, have you?" The older Salvatore asked. "Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this" Little Gilbert admitted. "And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic" Damon said.
"Hey, he made more progress than any of us have made didn't he? If he has a reliable source then let him help" Raina reasoned. If Jeremy was friends with Tyler Lockwood then he could be her (unwitting) way of getting to him. Damon looked reluctant "Fine" he said finally. Raina smiled. When she'd planted the false memories into him she'd made sure to make him somewhat more compliant towards her. Not enough to be obvious but enough for her to get her way when it mattered most.
After filling in Damon about everything that Jeremy had found he called up Alaric to bring Isobel's research. Raina didn't know who Isobel was but according to Damon she was Alaric's ex-wife and Elena's biological mother. She was wrong when she assumed the Gilberts or Sommers were the carriers of the Petrova gene. Which meant that Elena was potentially the last Petrova. Which also meant she couldn't screw this up.
