IT WAS FUNNY JUST HOW MUCH A BIT OF COMPULSION COULD DO. Raina leaned against the wall of Caroline's room, she'd agreed to help Stefan with Caroline while Bonnie Bennett was flipping through the pages of her ancestor's grimoire, searching for the spell to make daylight rings. Caroline sat in front of her on the bed, holding the future daylight ring in her hand. "So, I don't get to choose the ring I have to wear the rest of my life?" She asked. Raina chuckled. She did have a point.
"Hey, if you don't want it..." Bonnie said "No, no, she wants it" Stefan said quickly. "Now what?" Caroline asked "Now is the part where I explain the rules. The witch who spells the ring has the power to de-spell it so if you ever do anything to hurt anyone..." The Bennett witch warned. "I'm not gonna hurt anyone" The blonde vampire insisted. "You are a vampire that means the urge to kill is a part of who you are. The minute you let it take over, I will stop you" Bonnie threatened. "Bonnie, you're supposed to be my friend" Caroline said. "I can't ignore what happened, okay? If you want to be friends, you have to prove that the Caroline I remember isn't gone. Now put the ring on the bed" The Bennett witch responded.
"Do you really think I meant to kill that guy at the carnival?" Caroline asked as she placed the ring on the bed. "He's still dead. Now, do you want me to cast the spell or not?" Bonnie asked coldly. Raina was still new here but she was pretty sure the witch had something personal against vampires. She opened the curtains a tad, letting the sun shine on the ring. She closed her eyes for a moment before finally opening them "All done" she said, handing the ring to Caroline.
"So that's it? I mean nothing witchy happened. You know, no flickering lights, no gust of wind. Have you even done this before?" The blonde asked. "Caroline..." Stefan warned "What? I just want to make sure that it worked" Caroline said. "Put your hand in a bit of sunlight and you'll get your answer" Raina said but Bonnie simply threw the curtains open, letting the sunlight in "It worked" she stated simply. "...Or we could do that" The Original said. "What if it hadn't Bonnie?!" Caroline asked "She's all yours" Bonnie whispered to Stefan before taking her grimoire and leaving.

"So what do I do when I see the rabbit?" Caroline asked. "Chase it, catch it, feed on it" Stefan explained. If Raina were truly trying to help Caroline she would have insisted that she fed either from a human or from a blood bag but if her opponents wanted to weaken themselves Raina certainly wasn't going to stop them. "Isn't killing cute defenseless animals the first step in becoming a serial killer?" The blonde vampire asked. "Yeah well you skipped serial killer and went several steps ahead to Vampire" Raina pointed out. "Caroline, if you're not serious about all of this I think you should tell me" Stefan said. "No I am. Look, I swear that I am okay? But it's just...I haven't been in the sun for days and everyone is at the swimming hole having fun and Matt is there! And he finally told me that he loved me but I have been blowing him off and now you want me to eat bunnies and I'm kind of freaking out okay?!" Caroline ranted.
