Anyway, I want to be totally honest. I'm not ever going to be one of those writers that holds chapters for ransom to get votes and reads. I tried it once, but I updated before I reached the goal. Why? Because first of all, that's not fair to people that just want to read the book instead of having to try and MAKE people read it. Also, those reads and votes don't mean anything, because people just want to get on with the story. I like getting votes from people that ACTUALLY enjoyed my story! I'm not ever gonna manipulate you guys in order to get fame. That's not fair for anyone. Also, I love writing and sharing my stories with people that I'm too excited to wait to publish myself! Also on comments, it warms my heart when people ask me to update, but I really want to know what you guys think! Thoughts on the story? Reviews, detailing a star rating? Questions? Concerns? Suggestions? Whatever you think of, write it! One thing that saddens me is that even if a comment is really nice but it has a curse word in it, I have to delete it. No cursing allowed! Sorreh :/
Next, I'm also not going to be one of those readers that have an updating schedule. I can't deal with that, it makes me feel like I let people down if I don't follow it. You can't cramp creativity into a scheduled format! I write pretty much every day, but even if I don't update, I most likely did something. Some days, I can't think of anything but a few sentences that aren't really worthy of my book. Other days though, I feel like writing a chapter the length of War and Peace. (jks. never gonna happen.) But close! My writer's block is a chronic thing that comes and goes. Oftentimes, I'll go read something to be inspired. Don't get me wring, I won't copy! It just gets my brain full of new stuff to think about, i.e. thoughts, feelings, new events and deep, make-you-think ideas to put my own take on. Whatever it is, my mind doesn't work on a schedule. Writing is more of a spontaneous/ sporadic thing.
One thing I need to express is totally unrelated, but a pet peeve of mine. Here in the Wattpad Universe, NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO SPELL DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm CERTAINLY not criticizing anyone that does that. I've seen it spelled like defiantly, defanitly, definately, etc. I'm sorry, but every time I read that I'm like "AGH IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO SPELL!" It's just the word definite and ly on the end. Just saying. It's definitely a problem. (See what I did there?) Now what would be really funny and awful at the same time is if I spelled definitely wrong too. That would be SO AWKWO TACO. O.o
