When Rory and Logan got to the Huntzberger mansion for dinner on Saturday night, they didn't expect to see Honor, Josh, and their 3 kids there. Honor and Josh had 3 sons, Jacob who was 4, James who was 3, and Jordan who was almost 2. Definitely not who you want in the room when people start yelling.
The kids were there though, and there was nothing they could do about it, so they just sat down. After a few minutes of somewhat pleasant conversation, Logan pulled Honor into the other room.
"Logan, what are you doing?"
"I didn't know you were coming" he told her
"Are you mad that I'm here?"
"No, of course not, it's just...Rory's pregnant, and we have to tell them tonight, and it's gonna get ugly. I don't want your kids getting caught up on that"
"Rory's pregnant?"
"Yes"
She started laughing "they're gonna be pissed"
"Honor" Logan rolled his eyes
"I'll take them out of the room, just tell me when"
They went back to sit down and a few minutes later Honor got sick of waiting.
"Josh, can you take them out of here for a minute?" Honor asked quietly
Josh was a little confused but took all 3 boys upstairs.
"What's going on?" Mitchum asked
"Just preparing for when you start yelling" Honor said
"What?" Shira asked
Logan squeezed Rory's hand. "Rory's pregnant"
"So you're getting married?" Shira asked
"When did you hear me say that?" Logan asked
"You should've been married before you had the first child, you're not telling me that you're gonna have another before you're married" Shira said
"Actually, I am" Logan said
"Logan, you have to understand how this looks" Mitchum said
"I don't care how it looks!" Logan said "we will get married if and when we decide to, and for now we're happy, and our dau- your granddaughter is happy, and she's healthy, and wether you like it or not, she's gonna have a baby brother or sister, so I don't give a damn about it looks!"
"Logan!" Mitchum shouted
"Dad, stop!" Honor said "If this was me telling you I was pregnant, you'd be thrilled. The only reason you're not happy for them is because they aren't married, and the fact that you can't see that tells me that you're not nearly as smart as I thought you were. I have 3 kids, and you were overjoyed each time I told you I was pregnant"
"When you told me you were pregnant, you were married. Call me old fashioned, but that's the way it should be"
"Yeah, well you wanna know a secret?" Honor asked "I was pregnant at my wedding. I was pregnant before I got married" it was true. She didn't know it until several weeks later, but she was in fact 3 weeks pregnant at her wedding.
The room got quiet.
"I think we're gonna leave" Logan said. He didn't want to admit it, but it hurt that his own parents would treat him, and Rory, and Millie the way they did "Millie's with Lorelai, and I'd like to be able to put her to bed. You guys don't want us here anyway. "Honor, I'll see you another time"
"Yeah" Honor said "congratulations, by the way"
"Thank you" Rory smiled.
They went back to Lorelai's house and Logan immediately went to where Millie was playing on the rug and picked her up, hugging her tight.
